Because her ride home, Damon, got missing, Kayla spent the weekend at the Lockwood house. Not having heard from either of her cousins or father figure too much outside of a 'Going to be away from my phone for a few days'.

So Kayla spent the weekend with Tyler. Sharing secrets, watching movies, the usual. Sunday, the two fell asleep in Tyler room watching movies finalizing the fundraiser coming up

So it was surprising that the teen woke up earlier than she normally does and got her stuff ready for a shower, in Kayla's mind...today was gonna be a good day or at least it was prior to Elena giving her a call

"SHES WHERE!?"

Hearing the girl scream, Tyler jumped up from the chair in his room that he slept on so Kayla could have the bed

"Elena don't play with me-"

Kayla nodded listening to the girl as she held the phone up with her shoulder and started to pull her heels on
"Don't even worry about it. Im on the way"

Kayla hung up the phone and stood up looking over to Tyler who was squinting his eyes half sleep and confused

"What's going on?"
"Jeremy Fucking Grayson Gilbert"

"Oh shit..Vicky?"
"I'm going over there before school, I'll catch you later"
"You need a ride?"

Kayla shook her head as she walked out the room and said "Carol offered, she's heading to pilates"

The whole ride, Kayla sat calm while Carol glanced over at her before she spoke up
"Everything okay?"
"Perfect"

As the two pulled into the driveway of the Gilbert house Carol puts the car in park and turns to Kayla
"...I hope this isn't over stepping but I partially heard you this morning about the Victoria girl and I'm not condoning and violence but...do what you have to"

Kayla rose an eyebrow and chuckled with a nod as she got out the car and waved "drive safely"

As Carol pulled off the smile on Kayla's face dropped and she turned on her heel and walked toward the door where Elena was waiting for her

As Kayla got closer Elena straighten up and started speaking

"I just want you to know that I didn't call you to beat her up or anything, it's just that i know you and Jer got a thing and it'd be wrong of him to entertain Vicky"

Kayla nodded and continued into the house greeting Jenna before continuing up the stairs and knocked on the door. Not even 1 minute later Jeremy spoke "Jenna, I already told you nothing happened!"
Kayla simply knocked again

A groan could be heard before the door swung open "What!?"
"Lower your tone"
"Kayla?"
"So you had that mangy bitch in here?"
"Wha-"
"What? You don't know what i'm talking about or something?"

Jeremy brought his hand to his head and ran it through his hair "I promise nothing happened, she was drunk and wouldn't leave, what was I supposed to do?"

Kayla squinted her eyes "I don't know? Drop kick that bitch to the curb maybe"
Jeremy tilted his head "Be for real Kayla"

"This gone piss me all the way off bruh, you don't know how to shut doors? She ain't no line backer, you could've easily taken her or called me and I would've"

Jeremy pulled Kayla into the room and guided her to the bed and knelt down to look up at her

"Did she sleep on this bed? I'll stand"

As Kayla went to stand Jeremy pushed her back down
"Cool it hoe"
"Kayla"
"Jeremy"

The Gilbert sighed "I promise nothing happened, I didn't even sleep in here"
"Mmhm"
"You and I are in a good place, I wouldn't do that to you"
"Mmhm"
"Why don't you believe me?"

"I believe you, that's not why I'm mad. Im mad you let that degenerate past the threshold of this house, im especially mad you didn't call Matt or something and have them come get her but it's whatever honestly, she's not even here for me to fight her and i'm not gonna hit you"

"Oh I thought you were thinking we did something" Jeremy said as he got up and sat beside the girl on the bed when Kayla snorted "Please the way you looked at me when you opened the door, I knew you hadn't done anything"

Jeremy laid back on the bed and asked "How did you even know she was here?"
"Your sisters a snitch but she's my snitch"
"No way?"
"Her and Jenna. Your mom was too"

Jeremy chuckled and extended his arm as Kayla leaned back "Whatever Kayla"
"I'm not kidding. Grayson too"

Half an hour later, Kayla and Elena are at school with Caroline and Bonnie

"And you haven't gone to find her?" Caroline questioned as her friend shrugged
"I'm not tripping over Donovan, I've more important things to worry about like the Sexy Studs car wash being tomorrow"

"Don't sweat it, the football team and the band have committed, well not all the band just the ones who can pull off a bikini" The blonde teen chimed
"Perfect, it's a fundraiser. So I need everyone to pull out all the stops. Thank you hun"

Caroline smiles and waves goodbye to everyone

"Hey"
The three girls turn around to see Stefan
Bonnie pushed a smile out "Hey. You know, I gotta go. Be somewhere right now"

Kayla turns completely toward Stefan "Where have you and your brother been? I've been calling. Zach included."

"I'm so sorry I haven't answered or called" Stefan apologizes to the girls
Elena nods "No worries. I'll live"

"Zach and I were dealing with Damon"

Kayla raises an eyebrow "Dealing with Damon? What did he do?"

Stefan glances between Elena and Kayla as Elena speaks up "And did you...deal with Damon?"
"Yes. Yeah"
"For four days?"

Kayla stood silently watching the two go back and forth, trying to piece together everything in her mind

"You have every right to be upset with me. But can I explain it all to you? Please"
"Sure. When?"
"I gotta be home after school, but The Grill, around four o'clock?"
"Ok"
"Thanks"

Raising her hand with a smile, Kayla spoke "Now that we've opened up this discussion and communicated our feelings, let's backtrack okay? What's up with Damon?"

Stefan's eyebrows frowned "I think it's best if Zach tells you"
"Mhmm right"

Kayla nods and prepares to head off to class before turning around
"I'll see y'all tomorrow at the fundraiser, don't be late"

"I think Kayla's gonna have an ear full for y'all tonight"
Stefan turnt his head a bit before replying to Elena

"Oh yea I know"
