As Damon drives the car he glances at Kayla who sat with her jaw clenched

"Can you stop staring at me" the teen asked
"Sorry" Damon turned away before peeking at her out the corner of his eye
"Really Damon?"

"Why'd you come with me?" he questioned
"I wanna get this talk over with...I don't want to be confused anymore" Kayla glanced towards Damon before glancing out the window

"Where are we going? The boarding house is back up that other street"
"We're going to get Stefan"
"Ok and where's Stefan?"
"Last I heard in the woods with Vicki"

Kayla frowned "How do you know?"
"I got this neat little trick with crows and fog" Damon teased while the teenager just squinted at him

"Right..."

The two sat in silence for the drive before Kayla spoke again "Why Vicki?"
Shrugging, Damon answered "It was convient, could've been anyone really. She just happen to wake up when I thought I'd killed her"

"Hmm" Kayla hummed as she thought about how unfair that was to Matt and partially to Vicki, as much as she disliked the girl she didn't truly wish death on her

As Damon pulled into a dirt path near the woods Kayla turned fully towards him "You know I have bear mace on me right?"
"You never leave home without it"
"And a taser"
"Yea, b t dubs, I heard you stole that"

"Why haven't you hurt me? This would've been the perfect opportunity to do so" Kayla questioned

"It would be, wouldn't it" Damon puts the car in park as he turns looking at his "cousin"

The two stared at each other before Damon rolled his eyes and started to get out the car "Relax, I wouldn't hurt you"
"But you'd hurt Zach?"
"I didn't mean to" Damon snapped

Kayla rose an eyebrow wondering who he was getting loud with. Even if he could kill her, she'd at least get a few hits in before she died

Seeing her eye brow Damon sighed "I'm sorry, look, I didn't mean to hurt Zach and I would never hurt you. We can talk more after I get Stefan"

Kayla rolled her eyes and turned in her seat as she saw Damon lock the doors
"Why did you do that?" She asked

It was dark outside and they were in the woods, she had no plans of getting out so she didn't understand why he locked the door

"I don't need you wondering, doors are all on child lock"
"Seriously?"
"Yup"
"Asshole"

As Damon left and Kayla sat in the car with her arms crossed, she wasn't planning on getting out but now that she couldn't she wasn't too happy

Kayla pulled her phone out hearing a ping and saw she'd gotten a text from Jeremy asking if she was okay, instead of texting she called him

"Hello?"
"Hey J"
"Are you okay? Did you all talk?"
"Not yet, im sitting in the middle of the woods"
"What?! The woods? With a vampire?"

"Not the best decision but if I really felt like he was gone kill me I wouldn't have left the house with him"

Jeremy sighed as he held his hand over his eyes "Please be careful"
"I Promise"

"Why are you even in the woods anyways?"
"He's getting Stefan and Vicki-"

Kayla jumped as she heard gunshots
"Kayla? What was that?"
"I think someone just fired a gun, wow"
"Wow? This was such a bad idea" Of course the day you decide to go to the woods with a Vampire at night the crazy people come out"

"I feel like a gunshot injury is the least of my worries stink"

Jeremy started ranting about how they needed to take some boxing classes or something but Kayla wasn't paying much attention to the phone as she was watching Stefan and Damon come out with Vicki who was covered in blood

"I'm gonna call you back, I think Vicki killed somebody"
"What?!"

Damon hopped into the drivers seat as Stefan and a shaking Vicki get in the back

Kayla turns around and stares at Vicki "So...is she-"
"Yes"
"I see...and are y'all going to train it?"
"Stefan will"
"I see"

Kayla glanced at Stefan who was already looking at her before she turned around in her seat with a sigh as Damon took off towards the house

"I should've studied abroad or something when I had the chance"
