The next day, Kayla and Caroline were in the car leaving the Hospital after visiting Zach when Matt called Caroline

"Hey, have you seen my sister?"

"No?" Caroline answered as she glanced to Kayla before putting her eyes back on the road

"Why would we know where she is? What's up Donovan?" Kayla questioned through the speaker

"I just haven't seen her in a- Oh wait Jeremy said she's there"
"She's where?"
"Oh god"

"I'm just gonna hang up"

Kayla turned her head towards Caroline with squinted eyes as Caroline forced her eyes to stay on the road

"Oh come on K..do you really need to deal with this after the night you've had?"
Kayla sighed "You're right"
"Of course im right! Jeremy knows this too, that's why he called Matt"

As Kayla started to nod, a text came through on her phone from Jeremy saying 'Stefan just pulled up with Elena'

"Yea, put this car in sport mode and drive to the Gilbert house"
"Seriously?"
"Deadly"

As Caroline pulls into the Gilbert driveway, Kayla hood out the car and strides towards the door with Caroline following hastily
As Kayla reached the door, she noticed it was already open and just made her way inside catching Stefan and Elena talking about Vicki

"She's transitioning"
"Into what?"
"A vampire, Damon must have gotten her. She's new, hasn't completed the transition"

"What?" Caroline asked with a slightly dropped jaw as Stefan and Elena turn towards the two of them in shock

"Kayla? I didn't hear you come in" Stefan glanced over the girl in worry
"Are you okay?"
"Is Vicki gonna be one of you? Of Damon?" Kayla asked

"If I can help it, she'll never be like Damon"
"Sorry guys im still stuck on the Vampire part. Are you joking?"
Caroline blinked rapidly, glancing back and forth between the two cousins

Elena bit her lip and moved towards the blonde "I think they'll explain it more later Care"
"You know?! Who else know?! Am I the last one to know?!"
"No Care"
"This is insane"

Kayla and Stefan ignored the two girls watching one another, one trying to read the others and one trying to gather her thoughts

"I wanna speak with you Stefan.."
"Okay, we can step outside-"
"After I check on Jeremy. Is Vicki upstairs or in the living room?"

Elena pointed upstairs "She's upstairs with him right now but so is Matt"

Kayla starts to make her way upstairs and sees Vicki crying and Jeremy awkwardly standing as the girl wrapped her arms around her and Matt looking confused

Kayla almost let it slide as her being emotional cause she had died a while ago, whether she remembered it or not, but then the Donovan girl opened her mouth near Jeremy's neck and she rushed forward to hit her on the forehead

"Back up cretin"
"Kayla!"
"Really Kayla?!"

Vicki took off down the stairs with Matt following behind, just not fast enough

"What's going on?" Stefan asked
"That senior delinquent tried to put a leech sized hickey on my boyfriend"

"Boyfriend?"
"Senior delinquent? Really?"
"She tried to bite him?!"
"No no go back, you said boyfriend?"

Kayla side eyed Jeremy who was grinning "Be so for real right now Gilbert. She tried to bite you"
"But you called me your boyfriend"

"You really kicking your feet and giggling right now Jeremy"
Turning to Caroline with a straight face, Jeremy blinked as the Forbes smirked at him
