Chapter 4

The little human, continued to walk until they see a bridge ahead of them. Right in front of it was a bowl filled with monster candy.

They sprinted to the bowl, stopping a few steps away from it, giving it a look of curiosity. They took one of the candies and unwrapped it, using the wrapper to put it in their mouth without touching the candy.

Only to spit it back out and cringe. It wasn't monster candy, it was snow. Now they were hopping around a few times because of the leftover cold in their mouth.

They were not prepared for that.

"Silly human, don't you know to never take suspicious food on the ground?"

They froze and slowly turned around.

In front of them was a skeleton and they seemed to have colorful mist? Clouds? surrounding them.

"Hey now, don't you know how to greet a new pal?"

Frisk took the extended hand to give the other a handshake only to laugh at the sound of a joy buzzer and give the other a look that clearly says 'really?' .

"I know, I know but you have to agree the joy buzzer was a classic!"

"The name's Comic, Comic the skeleton. Nice to meet you human"

"My name's Frisk" they said with a smile as the skeleton hummed in acknowledgement.

"Well Frisk, wouldn't want to stop you from your journey, just be careful with the royal guard and the town's folk, they get a little tricky when they see humans, eye know they really do. See you around kid."

Frisk can only stare in disbelief as Comic seemed to be enveloped by the fog as they back up a few steps.

They left.

Frisk remembered what the other said about this royal guard and towns folk. They kept that in mind before chuckling after realizing that the skeleton made a pun.

They made their way across the bridge.

"So that was the child? Frisk?"

Sans asked his twin as he watch Comic finish making an order for a customer. Grillby walked in and Comic gave him the order. Grillby pat their head as he held the food in one hand. He went towards the door where Sans was near and pat him on the head too.

Yep, Grillby knows about Sans and his ghost abilities, it gave him a fright when he saw a literal ketchup bottle floating in the air next to Comic, only to be more shocked when Sans appeared.

They had to explain everything about Sans. Grillby was shocked at first but in the end he was slightly outraged at the fact that he didn't know he had two children and wasn't told about it. In the end, Sans can be able to be seen in public but only in small periods of time due to the magic he has to use to stay visible. Everyone just thinks that Sans mostly stays at home and sleeps, since others mostly see him like that unlike his sibling.

How wrong they were, because Sans mostly stays by his twin's side in ghost form and appears when anyone makes any trouble for his family. Making others think twice before doing anything funny to Comic -because making his twin laugh was his job!

"Yup" said Comic with a serious expression. "We have to be cautious but we're not sure which route they will take. "

Comic already explained to Sans what Frisk might do, but they mostly informed him about the Genocide route.

Sans nodded as he turned invisible and floated closer to their twin.

"For now, we observe."
