Adelaide

My Dad texts me at noon and says that they are having a family dinner tonight and that Levi and Emma were going to be there and he wants me and my mate to come too. I am a little shocked by the way he refers to Oliver, but then it dawns on me that I have never actually introduced him to my dad and Molly.

I trudge down to Oliver's office, figuring it best to ask him if he will come with me tonight. I knock on his door and am greeted by a come on in, babe as Ollie's voice enters my head through the mind-link. I slowly open the door and slip inside. I look over to Oliver and realize he's on the phone.

"Ok, see you soon Dad" he says and then hangs up the phone and looks up at me from behind his desk with a devilish grin.

"Your Dad is coming here?" I quickly ask him before he can say any smart comment about where our morning took us, because the look in his eyes is telling me that is exactly what he is thinking about.

"Ya, he wants to come and check out the warriors we've been training. See if there are any ready for him to take back to the pack homelands" he replies.

"I see. Is there something wrong?" I ask him not liking the vibes I'm feeling through the mate bond.

"No, nothing for you to worry about" he says quickly. Ugh, I hate that phrase. So, in other words, there is something but I'm not important enough to know about it. "Anyways, what's up? Are you ready for round two already?" he asks smirking.

"No!" I shout at him. Liar, my brain calls me as my cheeks go red. I stare at him with his stupid, handsome smirk on his face knowing that he knows how much he's flustered me. I clear my throat and start, "actually, my Dad texted me and they are having a family supper tonight. He and Molly want us to come, but I guess I should text them back and say we can't make it now that your father is coming."

His smirk turns into a frown, as he says, "No, it's fine, if you want to go you should, but I won't be able to attend."

"Are you sure?" I ask incredulously. "Shouldn't I stay and meet your father?"

"Addie, it's fine. He'll be here for a couple of days you can meet him tomorrow" he says with a slight edge in his voice. I stare at him for a moment trying to figure out what he's not telling me, when a thought pops into my head.

"Does he even know you have a mate?" I ask him sternly.

He looks at me and lets out a laugh, "Yes, Addie. When I went there last week that was the first thing I told him! He is very excited to meet the woman that has taken my heart away" he says grinning at me.

"Oh" I say as my face turns bright red, and I look down at my feet feeling guilty, and ashamed, that I wanted to accuse him of keeping me a secret.

"Hey, Addie come here!" he says with authority in his voice. My head snaps up and I look at him, he has rolled his chair back from his desk and has his arms stretched out waiting for me to come to him. I go over to him and he pulls me down into his lap and wraps his arms around me. His touch makes me relax instantly. He grabs my chin with one hand and turns my head so I'm looking right at him. "Don't you ever think for one second that I could be ashamed of you!"

We sit there for a minute, as I rest my head against his chest. When realization hits me and I ask, "So, can I borrow your car tonight then, to drive to my parents?"

He grunts, "Isn't it supposed to snow tonight?"

"I don't know" I say, so he flips open his laptop and checks the weather. Turns out the snow isn't coming until after midnight.

"I'd prefer you to take the Jeep" he says.

I pout a little, "but that's not as fun." I honestly love his car, and while he was away last week, I was spoiled because he actually let me drive it to school each day. "Plus, I'll be home long before midnight!"
