Your P.O.V.

"I can't believe that lady just smacked you with her purse" I choke while trying to stifle a laugh but failing.

"That actually hurt. What on earth did she have in that thing?" Niall responded while laughing and rubbing his arm.

We're on our way back from a failed date night, recounting the events that happened. Neither of us are mad, if anything, we find it hilarious. 

Although things didn't go the way as planned. 'There's no need to wallow away in despair. That's what makes life interesting is laughing away the hardships and moving on.' I thought to myself.

"Everything alright over there?" Niall asked, nudging my arm and breaking me away from my thoughts.

"Everything is perfect" I smiled in his direction.

While he was driving, I couldn't help but notice all the streets passing by and their names.

"Hey, uh, Niall, you passed my street." I pursed my lips.

"I-I know" he stuttered. "I-I'm having a really great night with you (Y/N), and I didn't want it to come to an end so fast. So, I'm taking a longer route."

"Ah, okay. That's cool." I chuckled. Totally not expecting this. But that answers my question of: is he having  a good time or not?

While sitting in a comfortable silence, I noticed he had turned the radio up a bit and had grabbed my hand. I turned my head to look at him and saw he was already looking at me. Leaning in, he pecked my lips. In the dark, I could make out a small blush on his cheeks, all while feeling myself blush a bit.

He turned back to the road and I turned to the radio. Just by the beginning beats, I already knew what song was commencing. I reached my hand towards the volume knob and tuned it higher and belted along.

"Tell me why, ain't nothin' but a heartache, tell me why, ain't nothin' but a mistake, tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way!" I continued to sing along until Niall joined in till we finished the song.

"DON'T WANNA HEAR YOU SAY AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A HEARTACHE AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A MISTAKE I NEVER WANNA HEAR YOU SAY I WANT IT THAT WAY TELL ME WHY AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A HEARTACHE TELL ME WHY AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A MISTAKE TELL ME WHY I NEVER WANNA HEAR YOU SAY I WANT IT THAT WAY TELL ME WHY AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A HEARTACHE AIN'T NOTHIN' BUT A MISTAKE TELL ME WHY I NEVER WANNA HEAR YOU SAY I WANT IT THAT WAY" we belted at the top of our lungs.

"'Cause I want it that way" Niall sang the last line before we both erupted into a fit of laughter.

"That was fantastic" I choked, wiping tears from my eyes.

"Yes. It really was. Most fun I've had in a while, to be honest" Niall chuckled and smiled, genuinely.

"Glad to hear that" I smiled back. 

Turning my head, I noticed we were on my street, nearing my house. Minutes later we were in my driveway.

"I had a wonderful time tonight, Niall" I gushed.

"The feeling is mutual,(Y/N). I hope we can hang again soon." He blushed.

"For sure. I'm looking forward to it." I chuckled and nodded. leaning over the console, I pecked his cheek and hopped out, closing the door behind me.

Jogging up the front steps and to my front door, I unlocked my door, stepped in and waved by to Niall as he backed out and closing my door in the process.

Smiling to myself of a successful night.

I'm sorry if this one sucked. I tried to keep it as entertaining as possible but slightly cutesy too. I hope you enjoyed. I will try to update more seeing as it is summer and I have more time. I have a huge list of songs I came up with to write about, so I have plenty to do. Again, I hope you enjoyed. Please vote and comment and share. It will be greatly appreciated.
