I'm tempted to divulge last night's details to Zach and Catrina, God knows it would help their opinion of Austin, but in doing so I'd also have to reveal the reason for our spontaneous rendezvous. So I don't, and settle for leaning my head against Austin's shoulder contently, watching videos with him on his phone.

"I'm still not used to this." Zach comments on our rather peaceful state this morning. "Gabby, yell at him or something. You're freaking me out."

I give him a placid, accepting smile and simply say, "I'm freaking myself out."

Austin looks at me from the corner of his eye, the corners of his mouth curling upwards. He turns his head to me and pecks my forehead, leaning back to watch with satisfaction as a blush creeps onto my cheeks.

"Bastard." I mutter, pretending to turn my attention back to the video playing on his phone.

"Good morning mom and dad." Robert exclaims happily, plopping down next to us at the table. He's probably the only one in this group that's not wary of Austin and I's relationship, including Austin and I.

"Good morning, son. Did you sleep well?" Austin replies naturally, his focus off of me and back on his phone.

"Not really, I was up until two playing Warzone."

"This wouldn't have to do with beating Zach's scoreboard rank, would it?" Austin asks skeptically, his eyes still trained on the phone in front of him.

"No, I wasn't even playing with Zach." Robert answers defensively, giving us all the more reason to believe he was.

"Yeah right, you two kept me up all night." Catrina interjects, a moment of silence following soon after. I lift my head off of Austin's shoulder, looking to her with a puzzled look.

Her eyes widen and as Zach and her exchange a look, I begin to piece it together.

"Wait..." I begin to say, hesitant to voice my suspicions. Robert on the other hand has no such reservations.

"Were you sleeping over at Zach's?!" Robert exclaims, causing Catrina's cheeks to mirror the shade mine had turned not long ago.

Right as I think she's going to self-combust from embarrassment, Robert does what he does best and makes light of the situation.

"Why didn't you hop on and help your boy over here when I was kicking his ass?" He questions, making Catrina laugh self-consciously, Robert's joke evidently not doing much to help her recover.

Doing what any good friend would do, I decide to take the heat off of her for now.

"It's okay Catrina, Austin spent the night too." I add casually, knowing full well what I could be getting myself into with this crowd. I'm surprised no one noticed he showed up at the same time as me this morning wearing the same clothes as yesterday.

When I glance to Austin, he's smiling self-indulgently to himself, trying his best to hide it as he stares down at his lap.

"I knew y'all were boning!" Robert announces, making Austin choke as he breaks out into a coughing fit interspersed with laughter.

"Rob, you idiot." Austin chuckles out breathlessly, reaching a hand underneath the table to squeeze my leg in what I assume to be reassurance.

"No, he's right." I say, causing Austin to look at me inquisitively. "In fact, we're fucking right now."

Zach snorts, shaking his head at me with a dry expression. "It's all fun and games until someone points out that hickey on your neck." He motions to the darkened area on my neck that I thought I had completely covered with my hair. I feel betrayed, but in all fairness Zach's never been known to miss an opportunity to give me shit. Even if it's during an attempt to save his girlfriend from embarrassment.
