Chapter 2 : Eva(ngeline)

6:00am
               Cautiously rubbing the sleep from my eyes I let out an obnoxious yawn as my fingers get tangled in my messy morning curls. I glared at my pink alarm clock as though it was the one who betrothed me to this routine.
6:02am
              I stretched my arms above my head,playing with my hair a little,before crouching down and letting my silk purple shorts pool around my ankles. I took off my matching lilac tank top with deep purple lace as I strutted towards my bathroom.
6:45am
              As I wrapped my freshly dyed caramel brown hair in a cotton towel, I wiled the mist from my bathroom mirror. Holding up my towel I brushed my teeth while contemplating my outfit for the day.
7:30am
              Sitting straight at my vanity observing my warm yellow fairy lights which draped over my mirror day dreaming about the possible outcomes of today. I wrapped my fist around the glass drawer knob revealing my organised collection of makeup.
"Do i even want to waste my energy on this today?" I mumbled to myself not wanting to put a bunch of makeup on today. Concealer,mascara,lip tint.
7:41am
              As I bent over to pull up my thin black tights I hear a tap on my door.
"Come in"
My door creaks open revealing a sleepy Ivory behind it holding my baby pink,cable knitted,Ralph Lauren sweater in one hand and my platform Mary Janes in the other hand.
"I've got your sweater,thanks for letting me borrow it. But your shoes still don't fit me"she said pulling an exaggerated sad face.
"Your feet aren't gonna magically halve in size V" i giggled as Ivory places my clothes for today on my floral bed covers.
"Thank you for bringing them" i mention as i zipped up my black pleated skirt, " I thought you might still be asleep"
"No problem. I love your clothes they fit me so well!"
"You can borrow my clothes anytime V you know this"
"Love ya!l she shrieks with half her body already out the door.
"Love you too" i respond regardless of her swift exit. I take down a white button up from my closet and do it up,almost fully,leaving two buttons untouched. Looking through my sock drawer i find a pair of pink,frilly,laced socks to match the colour of my sweater. I sit on the edge of my bed both exhausted but forcing excitement towards my day already. Putting a sweater above a basic white button up is my favourite genre of outfits for work ; I gently wiped my Mary Janes over with my sleeve and elegantly crouching down to buckle them before fixing my socks over my ankles. Before leaving I tied half of my hair in two ponytails,leaving the rest out, and wrapping a white ribbon around each headband and leaving out my bangs to cover my forehead.
8:00am
               The journey to work felt poisonous as the cold on my hands felt acidic. I forgot my jacket.
8:11am
            I got to work four minutes early. As I stood in-front of the store with my arms crossed and my curls stiff from the cold breeze, I admired my favourite things about it. Like how the back windows have stained glass or how the front door is s rusted brown with a stone frame and a green mat...
"EVA!" a squeaky voice comes up behind me. Startled, I turned around.
"Minnie,hi! It's so good to see you" my eyes widened as I am greeted by my work friend Minnie.Minnie is an energetic girl,extremely energetic. Her volumes red hair adds to her presence along with her attention grabbing green eyes.
"It's so nice to see you too I feel like we haven't been on shift together in forever!" I grinned at her silly remark.
"I love your outfit by the way, pink looks so good with your new hair colour!"
"Awh thank you so much Minnie"
We exchanged hugs before heading into the bakery.Minnie was right though, I hadn't seen anyone other than Ivory for quite a while now. Not since what happened..
