"Chris," I call out as I walk towards his room

"Hm" he hums when I push the door open

"You awake?" I question quietly

His eyes lock on mine and his face is slightly puffy, clearly he just woke up

"I am now" he groans while stretching out

"Sorry" I say, climbing into bed next to him and laying half my body on him

His arm lays over my shoulders and I inhale his scent, letting it fill my lungs

"Morning" I say quietly

"Morning." Telling from his voice, and his face. He definitely just woke up

"Did you sleep good?" I ask, trying to hold conversation and tracing circles around his chest

"Mhm"

I close my eyes and continue circling my nails over his warm skin and let his body heat mine

He pulls the covers over me, warming me up quicker and I adjust my head on his shoulder

"You're so cold" I coo

His arm holds around me and makes sure I don't get up

"Can we stay like this forever?" His low voice grumbles and I feel his chest rise as he speaks

I hum in response and I slowly fall asleep in his presence

***

My eyes flutter open and I'm still half on Chris

"Are you awake?" He asks quietly, as if trying to not wake me up

"Mhm" I hum and lift my head up to look at him

His eyes flicker between both of mine and I smile at him

I lean forward and peck his lips a few times before laying my head back down

"Are you going back to sleep?"

"No."

"Then why are you laying down, mama's?"

Mamas..

"You're cold, I'm warm." I state

"You say that a lot"

"I know." I say, looking towards the door

I pull the covers off of me and roll around trying to get comfortable and cool off

"Are you sick?" He asks, lifting the blanket up and looking down at me

"I feel fine"

"Are you always this warm?"

I shrug

"I think you have a fever" he says, hooking his hands under my arms and pulling me up next to him to sit up

"Chris, I'm fine" I whine

He gets out of bed and leaves the room, coming back with a thermometer

My shoulders slump and I watch him sit back down

He cares so much,

He's too sweet.

"Open." He says, holding the thermometer in front of me

I lower my jaw and he places it under my tongue and I close my mouth

I stare at him blankly and when it beeps he pulls out out of my mouth and takes a look

"You have a fever," he says calmly

"Do you feel anything? Other than warm, like shakes or headache?" He asks

"I feel kind of shaky, my stomach hurts" I breathe

"You should rest for the day" he looks at me with doe eyes

"I don't want to" I groan

"Womp womp."

My jaw drops slightly at his words and he smiles in response

"I hate you" I grumble

"Are you hungry?" He asks, brushing off my fake statement

I shake my head and his eyes furrow

"I'll be back, stay in bed" he says, kissing my forehead and getting up

He leaves the room and I get up, turning on his fan and climbing back into bed

I lay on my back, limbs spread over his bed, trying to cool off

I sit in place for what felt like forever and finally he comes back

I look over at him and he has a bowl of food, a glass of orange juice and a water bottle

"How are you holding all of that?" I ask, confused and amazed

He sets the bottle and glass down and sits in bed, setting the bowl in front of me and handing me a fork

"I'm not hungry, Chris. I told you" I say softly

"You have to eat something" he responds

I look down at the bowl of ramen, remembering Chris can't cook

"Is this fully cooked?" I joke

"Just eat" he laughs

I take a few bites, barely denting anything

"I'm done" I wipe my mouth and set the bowl on the table beside his bed

He hands me the bottle of water and I take a few drinks from it

"Thank you" I say and lay against him

"Of course," he says, caressing my hair

I close my eyes, noticing my stomach ache growing worse

I sit still for a little while and my mouth starts watering

I jump up out of bed and sprint out of his room and into the bathroom, puking into the toilet

He comes in behind me, quickly scooping my hair up behind my head and holding it

I flush the toilet and stand up, wiping my mouth with a few pieces of toilet paper

I look at Chris and he wraps an arm around me, bringing me back to his room

I slowly lay back in his bed and he climbs in beside me

"Just go to sleep" he hums and I lay my arm over him

I fall asleep fairly fast considering how badly my head hurt
