The golden period of the kingdom of Amaravati shined in the rule of Mahendravarman.

After his new marriage with Arundhathi, they lead a happy life.

One day, Arundhathi fainted in the palace when she was walking in the corridor. Fortunately, someone saw her and informed to call the vaidji (Doctor).

When Mahendravarman heard the news, he immediately ran back to her aide.

"Arundhathi, Aap swasth tho hain? Apko kuch hua tho nahin?" He asked in concern.
(Arundhathi, is your health okay? Did anything happen to you?)

Arundhathi and the vaidji looked at each other. This just concerned him way more.

"Kya hua vaidji? Kya unki swasth theek nahi hai?" He asked.
(What happened doctor? Is she not well?)

"Rani Arundhathi garbavathi hai Maharaj." The vaidji replied.
(Rani Arundhathi is pregnant, your highness)

"What?!" Mahendravarma screamed in joy. He immediately turned to his beloved wife.

"Oh dear, this is such great news Arundhathi!" He said holding her hands in his lovingly.

"It is Maharaj (King)." Arundhathi replied with a smile. She was equally happy about it.

"This calls for a celebration then! You shouldn't work anymore. Take rest well. I'll go give the announcement to our people and arrange for the celebrations." Mahendravarma said, gently kissing his wife's hand and left the room.

He called for an immediate court assembly.

"Dhanur ji, apko kyun lagtha hai ki Maharaj ne iss prahar mein sabha bulaye hain?" Minister Ratnendra asked the King's advisor Dhanur.

(Dhanurji, why do you think the king has called us to the court at this hour?)

"Ye tho mein bhi nahi jantha hoon. Par yadi Maharaj ne iss samay par sabra rakhe hai, tho avashya hi koi mehethvapoorn baath hogi." Dhanur replied.

(I don't know either. But if his highness has called for a court now, then it should definitely be something important)

"I know that a lot of you have questions in your mind on why I called a court assembly at this hour. I would like to make an important announcement. Rani Arundhathi is pregnant!" Mahendravarman revealed.

The whole court rejoiced. "A successor for the King is to be born!"

The king raised his hand for silence.

"I would like to celebrate this wonderful news. Decorate the entire city from tomorrow morning. There will be huge celebrations and enetertainment!" The king announced,

The entire court shouted out praises.
"Maharaj Mahendravarman ki Jai! Rani Arundhathi ki Jai!"

The next morning, the entire city of Amaravati was breathtakingly decorated. Flowers were laid everyone around the city. Everyone were given free food. Kings from all other kingdom's were called for a feast. Several types of entertainments such as dance and music began. At night, there was a beautiful display of fireworks. The entire kingdom of Amaravati had brightened up in 1 day.

After 9 months:

Arundhathi and Mahendra were travelling through a forest at night when suddenly, Arundhathi's water broke. She needed to go to labour immediately.

Fortunately, there was a Vishnu temple in the forest. Mahendra took Arundhathi to the temple, hoping to find someone for help. There were four women in the temple.

They immediately rushed forward and helped Arundhathi, telling Mahendravarman to wait as it would take time.

Mahendra paced in the temple back and forth anxiously. He was very nervous for both Arundhathi and the baby.

Suddenly, the crying of a baby echoed in the temple. He immediately turned to Arundhathi and saw one of the woman carrying the baby.

Suddenly, lightning dashed in the sky. It was full moon. It had begun to rain heavily. A voice echoed through the temple.

"Mahendravarman, this daughter of yours is divine. She will either bring prosperity or destruction to you and your kingdom. Raise her well." A divinely voice echoed throughout the Vishnu temple and faded away after that.

Everyone were surprised by the divinely voice.
"Narayan (Vishnu) himself gave this prophecy." One woman said in joy to the other.

"This child is divine!" The other woman said.

The woman handed over the baby to Mahendravarman.

Tears of joy rolled down his cheeks. However he also didn't miss the point of she'll either bring destruction or prosperity to him and his kingdom.

He turned to Arundhathi. She smiled lovingly back at her beloved husband, tiredly leaning on the temple's pillar.

Mahendravarman leant forward to the baby's ear and whispered "We'll do our best to raise you well."

The baby girl was taken back to the kingdom.

The next morning, Mahendravarman revealed the prophecy at the court. People were very happy about the divine child.

However, there were a few people and ministers who didn't think this is was happy news. They feared; what if the child brings destruction if they make a mistake in raising them?

One such person was General Dharmendhar. He knew he didn't have the right to speak anything, but he was afraid of the prophecy. He did trust the king and queen, but in the end, it's the child who'll decide what path to choose.

After the event, Mahendravadman gave a special invitation for Rishi Vashisht.

When the Maharishi (Great sage) came in, he was first welcomed and treated well. Mahendravarman respectfully bent down and got blessings from his guru (Teacher).

"Kya bath hai Mahendra? Tumne mujhe yahan kyun bulaya? Koi vishesh kaaran?" The Rishi asked with a smile.
(What happened Mahendra? Why have you called me here? Any special reason?)

Mahendra broke the news to his beloved guru. "A divine child born with prophecy? Such wonderful news! But be careful Mahendra. Take care of her. Raise her well. Or she'll be the kingdom's destruction." He advised.

"Of course guruji, Arundhathi and I will do our best to grow this child of ours."

"And guruji, I would like you to name my child."

Guru Vashisht took the baby in his hand. He prayed to the gods for a moment and said

"May this divine child be named Yashasvini!"

"May this divine child be named Yashasvini!"
