After Ben and Blaire returned, one evening, after a long day of library service as a punishment of disobeying a teacher's direct orders, Blaire found herself in the gardens unable to sleep.
Ben had been ignoring her ever since they came back, she wondered why, was it because of the hug? No it couldn't be.
She was startled out of her thoughts by a familiar voice. "Mind if I join you?" Ben asked gently. She nodded, grateful for his company.
She stood up and they walked in an awkward silence for a while before Ben spoke. "Through all this madness, being by your side has been the one thing keeping me sane. After the incident all those years ago, I never stopped thinking of you. And how sorry I felt, I really am sorry Blaire," Ben's voice trailed off.
From that moment on, Blaire and Ben presented a united front, supporting each other through their perilous mission with a bond that grew deeper each day. Their bond gave both renewed resolve to finally lift the curse, no matter the cost.
