Esthirant, Parpaldia Empire

Mouge, the Ambassador of Mu which has an embassy in the Parpaldia Empire, had been trapped inside the embassy due to a series of military coups orchestrated by the Kaios.

At present, the capital city is drenched in blood. Madness and slaughter have become integrated into everyday life. Throughout the city, soldiers loyal to Kaios have been systematically assassinating nobles, imperial family members, military personnel, government officials, and anyone associated with the radicals. Some corpses seemed to be subjects of grudges so deep that they were so mutilated that their skin hung like tattered rags, their flesh rubbed raw from being pelted with stones until their demise. It was the fate of those who lost power struggles and incurred resentment both domestically and internationally.

After the purge in the capital, waves of purges are sweeping through provincial cities and regions where officials had been wreaking havoc. This is considered a necessary measure to eliminate any remnants of radical factions that could become catalysts for revolution or rebellion within the country.

From Ambassador Mouge's perspective, he cannot criticize their actions, as they had urgently requested imports of outdated weapons and military equipment from Mu. At least from Mu's viewpoint, Kaios represented "diplomatically reasonable" individuals. During this coup, substantial contracts were made with large sums of money, which elevated Ambassador Mouge's standing back in his homeland.

Furthermore, Kaios and the coup faction's next step wasn't just the elimination of radicals but also to promote the "Empire that achieved a regime change" domestically and internationally. Simply reigning in power after eliminating the radicals responsible for the tragedy in the Kingdom of Altaras would invite pressure from the Japanese Empire, which is safeguarding various nations, including Altaras.

Therefore, agreements were made to extradite members of the imperial family who had ordered attacks on Altaras, like Remille, and politicians who supported them. Even merchants and common folk who had close ties with these radicals were seen publicly denouncing them and declaring their disassociation through the manacomm. After the disassociation from the radicals and self-criticism, the devices are now loudly proclaiming the roadmap for the rebirth of the empire by the announcer.

"The economic situation of our country has deteriorated due to the radicals. We must face this fact. In order for the Empire to recover, we must once again act in accordance with international order under the leadership of Lord Kaios and behave as an honorable Empire."

"The tragedy in the Kingdom of Altaras was caused by Ambassador Cast stationed there and Remille, who not only pardoned the Cast's atrocities but also issued orders for massacres."

"At present, our Empire is preparing for a peace treaty with the Kingdom of Altaras and the Japanese Empire. We will exert our utmost effort to resolve the situation responsibly and rectify the tragedies of recent decades."

Warships have already been dispatched from the Japanese Empire, with a hotline established with Kaios. Efforts are underway to extradite Remille, the former imperial family member who is alleged to be the leader of the radicals and who allegedly ordered the massacres in the Kingdom of Altaras.

For Ambassador Mouge, this series of coups wasn't just sparked by a mere power struggle; he also surmised it as evidence of the extraordinary military and economic might possessed by the Japanese Empire. Contacts had already been made with Japanese vessels from Mu's homeland for information gathering, and instructions were received for Ambassador Mouge to establish contact with the Japanese representatives stationed locally.

"So, this isn't just a matter for the Parpaldia Empire; it concerns our nation as well... But still, this coup is brutal. You can hear the cheers of executions echoing all the way here..."

Following the instructions from his homeland, Ambassador Mouge would proceed to visit the Japanese Embassy, strategically located in a prime location within Parpaldia. Meanwhile, Kaios proceeded with the nullification of the emperor's authority, maintaining the emperor purely as a symbol of the state. Having usurped authority from the emperor, Kaios promptly declared the establishment of a new government, positioning himself as the foremost representative of the government. Under this declaration, the radio waves were filled with praises for Kaios.

"We have eliminated the radicals who had caused economic recession and intimidated other nations in our country. By eradicating the radicals, who were breeding grounds for corruption and decay, our nation will be reborn under the courageous leadership of Lord Kaios, ushering in a new era for the Empire. Surely, a bright future awaits us."

Order 44 concluded with the replacement and deployment of key government officials, establishing a robust political system supported and praised by those who aligned with Kaios. Thus, Kaios became both de facto and de jure the government representative of the Parpaldia Empire, solidifying his position as the "Supreme Leader" of the Empire.

With this, Kaios' usurpation of power in the Parpaldia Empire was complete.

Slave of the Rising Sun.
