That's the time on the stove.
My bags are in the car and I feel like I'm going to explode.
I said goodbye to my friends, but I don't want to start somewhere new.
I'm eighteen, but my mother needs me and I'll be there for her until she tells me to leave.

After the divorce, Mom decided it was time to have a fresh start.
Which I can understand.
My father wasn't an abusive or horrid man, he was unfaithful.
My mother believes that when someone cheats in a relationship, it's over.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't try to beat my dad's ass after I found out what happened.
My mother has always been a kind and caring woman, so what caused him to do such sinful things, I'll never know.

I stand up from the bar area and follow my mom outside.

"Oregon will give us better opportunities and a different atmosphere. Please try to look at it with a light heart," my mother pleads as I climb in the car.

I look at her and slightly nod before looking out the windshield.

She reaches over to grab my hand and I give her a small smile. There are tears in her blue eyes and she takes a deep breath before she backs out of the driveway.

I hope my mother is right about this.
