James worried about his son. He worried about his son a lot the past few days, with what the accident did to him. And after his son’s demeanor changed abruptly while they were watching their favorite sitcom earlier, he was worried sick. He cleaned up the kitchen and the living room and took a hot shower, willing the water to drain all the tension and worry away from his body. He dressed up and proceeded to check on his son, peeking from his bedroom door. The tension fled from him when he saw his son, sleeping soundly. He was about to close the bedroom door when his blackberry rang. He sprinted away from the room, afraid that his son might wake up from the piercing sound.

“Hello,” He greeted.

Silence.

“Hello?”

Silence.

“James.”

“Yes, this is James Cooper, who is this?”

Static.

“You’re wasting your time. I’m hanging up now.”

“Your son, James.”

“What?”

“Your son, James. Caleb. He knows.”
