Lexa.

"How about you go grab it for me?" Anya suggests.

I nod and lay down my sword and head out of the tent.

"Be careful." Anya yells from inside the tent.

I peak my head back inside. "I will be."

I head down the route to the nearest trading post. I used this route many times but usually I have somebody with me.

I love the trees and flowers that I pass on my way there. Most kids don't really appreciate it, but I do. I spent a lot of time in the tent with Anya so it's nice to get out occasionally.

I make it to the trading post and head on in.

"Hi." I say to the Mayla to get her attention because she's turned around facing the opposite direction at the counter.

She turns.

"Oh hi Lexa." Mayla says.

I've been to the trading post so many times that I've learned a lot of locals names.

"What will it be for you today?" She asks.

I grab out the piece of paper Anya gave me and hand it to her.

"Okay. It'll take me about twenty minutes."

I nod and walk back outside and sit down on a log and look at the flowers on the ground.

"What no friends?" A gentle voice says.

I turn around. A girl with long black hair is standing behind me. She sits down.

"I'm Costia." She says with a smile.

"Lexa."

"Well Lexa, would you like some company?"

I hesitate and then nod.

She takes the bag she's wearing off and puts it between us.

She opens it up and pulls out a book. She opens it up and scans through the pages.

"Here it is." She says excitedly.

She hands me the book and I look down and there is a picture of a flower (in color) on the page.

I smile and then it quickly fades away.

"What?" She asks suspiciously.

"Nothing it's beautiful flower." I say quickly.

"Can't read?" She asks.

I look in the opposite direction.

"I could teach you."

I turn back toward her.

"If you want."

"Sure.." I say.

She smiles.

"So when will I see you again?" She says standing up.

"I'll be back here next Monday."

"Okay I'll see you then." She says and then walks away.

I look back down at the flower and smile.

I get up and head back into the shop.

"Here you go, Lexa." Mayla says pushing the box of supplies toward the edge of the counter.

I grab the box and walk back slower this time taking in every thing.
