I have to get to Olivia. She's been up there too long and the crash I just heard didn't sound good. The basement door wouldn't budge and the cords from the old lamps had tied my ankles and wrists together so tight that I had bruises forming on them. I kept her safe from Elizabeth for so long and I wasn't going to stop now.
The cords trapping me had fallen since the crash, perhaps the door was open. It had to be.
I ran up to the door and quickly threw it open. The howling wind had died down, as did the rain. The sky was a dark gray instead of black. My little girl had done it. But what happened to her? I don't let another thought creep into my mind.I run up the stairs and towards the room she was in.
