Jamie entered a rehearsal room out of curiosity, looking at the different equipment. She smiled as she thought of herself rehearsing in a room like this and began to sing the chorus of the song she auditioned with.
"These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me"
Then she heard applause and jumped as she turned around to see Johnny.
"Oh sorry. I didn't mean to scare you," he said, his Welsh accent definitely noticeable.
"No, you're fine," Jamie assured.
"Okay. I'm Johnny," he introduced himself, holding his hand out.
She accepted it as she answered, "I'm Jamie."
"Well Jamie, you have a beautiful voice," Johnny told her.
Jamie started blushing and moved some hair behind her ear as she answered, "Thanks. And I would like to hear you sing some time."
"We've got time now," Johnny pointed out.
Jamie smiled and sat down then he sang the first verse and chorus of the song he auditioned with.
"Guess it's true, I'm not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love 'cause I'm just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don't want you to leave, will you hold my hand?
Oh, won't you stay with me?
'Cause you're all I need
This ain't love, it's clear to see
But, darling, stay with me"
He finished and Jamie's jaw dropped and she started clapping.
"That was awesome! They'd be crazy not to pick you!" she exclaimed.
"Thanks. But they would be really insane if they didn't pick you," Johnny responded.
Jamie blushed then said, "Well, whether we're both picked, one of us is, or neither one, we should hang out some time."
"That would be nice," Johnny nodded.
They kept talking for a little while until they were called back for selection.
