Chapter 3: Sweet 16

It's 16:20 when I hear the doorbell. I run downstairs and open the door. Iris has already done her hair and makeup. She straightened her normally black curly hair and she put on red lipstick and mascara. I see that she's holding her dress in one hand and her makeup box in the other. On her back is her backpack with the rest of her stuff.

We go upstairs into my room. "Sit down.", she says. I sit on the floor in front of my mirror. "Okay, let's see... smoky eyes with lip gloss."
After she finishes my makeup we get dressed. I put on my blue dress, glittering shoes and my diamond earrings and necklace.
Iris puts on a long red dress that has an open back. She puts on silver high heals.

Before we leave to go to Moon's we take a few pictures for insta.
I send Moon a text that we're on are our way.
We first drop off Theo at our grandmas, he's going to stay over tonight.
About 7 minutes later we arrive at Moon's house. There's still nobody because it's early. Our parents are going to a benefit party so they won't really bother us. We arrive and I say goodbye to mom and dad. "We'll pick you up later, darling. Have fun!"

We step on the porch and nock on the door.
Kate, Moon's mom opens the door. "Hi, girls!", she says. "Moon's upstairs getting ready."
"Okay, thanks.", we both say.
"Mom and dad already left.", I quickly say before going upstairs.
We go up de stairs and open de first double doors on our right.
Moon's wearing a short-when I say short I mean like really short-, gray dress. She's wearing shining shoes. She still hasn't done her makeup and asks Iris if she would do it for her. Because she's really good in it.
