The Concert (Nick Carter)

Chapter 18

Nick gets up from the table quickly glaring at his mother and rushes to his room

Robert gives Jane a disapproval look "You knew he didn't want a party, why would you do this?"

Jane sighs "Nick Is getting a party, If he likes it or not"

The room falls to an awkward silence

"I'm going to go talk to him" i say breaking the silence

I slowly get up and walk over to Nick's room

I softly knock "Nick?"

I quietly open the door and see him with his headphones and his eyes clothes

I close the door softly and take one of his headphones off

He peeks open one eye

He takes off his headphones

I give him a small smile and lay my head against his lap since his back was pressed against the wall of his bed

I give him a small smile "I'm sorry"

He sighs and plays with my hair "it's not your fault, I just wish she didn't make choices for me"

I grab his hand from playing with my hair and hold it

"Its still your birthday.. what do you want to do?" I ask him playing with his fingers

"Get pizza" he chuckles

I sit up and look at him "then?"

He looks at me confused "then what?"

I smile "let's go get pizza"

He chuckles "I have a birthday party I need to attend"

"It's your birthday Nick, and if you want pizza then lets go get freaking pizza"

He breaks Into a smile "I love you"

I smile back and kiss his lips "I love you too"

A knock is heard

"Come in" Nick calls out

Robert peeks his head out "hey bud"

Nick gives him a nod "what's up?"

"I was planning on giving you your birthday present later but-"

"At the party?" Nick rudley interrupts

"Yeah I was... but right now seems like a better time" Robert smiles with guilt

Nick sighs and claps his hands "okay then, where is it?"

Robert dangles car keys and Nick's eyes widend while he quickly shoots out of the bed

"You didn't" he shouts smiling while taking the keys from him

Nick rushes outside as Robert and I quickly follow

Nick is jaw dropped and on his knees

"Dad you're the best!" Nick runs into his father's arms and hugs him

"You passed your drivers test and you know I got you a car" Robert shrugged teasingly

"This is insane" Nick says opening his black jeep

"Thanks dad" Nick smiles hugging his father once again

Nick turns to me "so are we gonna get pizza?"

"This feelings awesome" Nick grins as he drives to a pizza restaurant

"Now I get to say my boyfriend has a car" I tease

He looks at me and smiles "I feel so free. Imagine how many dates I can take you on"

"No more tour bus" I joke

He laughs and shakes his head "no more tour bus"

He gets serious "Listen, your birthday is coming up"

I nod "Yeah in a month"

"What were you planning on doing?" He asks nervously

"Stay home, maybe watch a movie?" I say

"What?" He asks shocked

"Its only a birthday I'll have another next year" I laugh

He shakes his head "you made a huge deal about birthdays especially the 16th and now your telling me that your gonna stay home on your 16th birthday?"

Nod with a grin "Yeah"

He smiles and shakes his head "well, you have plans on your birthday just giving you a heads up"

I groan "Nick let's just stay at my house and eat"

"Yeah cause your father will be thrilled to see me" he rolls his eyes as he parks infront of the pizza place

I take my seatbelt off and climb onto his lap "I don't care about what my dad thinks neither should you"

He sighs as he holds my waist "it's your dad though, what's gonna happen the day I want his blessing to marry you? I'm gonna get a big fat no"

My heart beats faster and a huge smile comes over my face "You wanna marry me someday?"

He comes to realization of what he said and he blushes a bit "I plan to yeah"

"Aw Nicky" I smile and kiss him

He pulls away "I'm sorta starving can we eat?"

"What a way to ruin the moment carter" I roll my eyes
