The Concert (Nick Carter)

Chapter 24

"None of these houses are good" I say frustrated when Nick and I leave the house that the seller was trying to sell us

"It's the 5th house we've seen, it's to early to give up" Nick reassures me

I run a hand through my hair and enter Nick's car

"This is frustrating" I say

"I know it is but just imagine how great it will be when we finally get our own house" Nick smiles at me

"Hey look" Nick points to a street "This is the street where I used to live, can we go check it out real quick?"

I nod "knock yourself out"

He pulls up to the house "and look it's for sale!" He says excitedly

Nick opens his door and gets out and I do the same

A man comes out of the house and notices us

"Hello" he greets us with a friendly smile "are you here to check out the house?"

"Uh hey and yeah" Nick nods

"Will you two be living together?" He asks

I nod

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you two? You both look very young" he says

"We're sixteen" I say holding Nick's hand

His eyes widend "sixteen?"

"This is the house I lived in growing up, and I want to start my family here too" Nick smiles at me

The man's eyes widend more "your pregnant?" He asks me

I nod "6 weeks"

The man is shocked

"So can we check the house out" Nick asks

The man quickly nods "sure right this way"

"I never got your name" I tell the man as Nick and I walk up the steps

"My name is Josh, and you two?" He asks

"I'm Nick Carter and this is my girlfriend Elsa Cortes" Nick introduces us

"Nick Carter? As in the backstreet boys?" Josh asks

Nick nods "yeah, so are you the owner of this house?"

Josh nods "yes, my wife and I want to live in a smaller house since it's just us two"

"You don't have any children?" I ask him

"Not yet" he smiles sheepishly

Nick leads me to a room "This is where I shared a room with Angel and Aaron"

He looks at a wall and I see it has marks for height growth "they didn't paint over it" Nick smiles

I look at the wall and I giggle "You were one tall 10 year old"

He smiles and leads me to anyone room "and this was Leslie's and Bj's room, they would kick my butt whenever I came in here" he laughs

I laugh too

I spent the next hour watching Nick explore his childhood house with the biggest smile on his face

His eyes glowing every time

He finally comes to me "you ready to go look for a house?" He asks me

I smile and look up at him "I think we already found it"

He looks down at me with a big smile "are you serious?"

"I want our child to grow up here, this house makes you happy" I tell him

I put my hands over my stomach "and I'm sure our little one will he happy here too"

"So you're buying the house?" Josh asks us

"We'll take it" I smile at him
