I sat on the bedside of Nicole's hospital bed. I had brought my guitar. Nicole is just lying there peacefully. That's already good enough for me.

The room went quiet. A tear escaped from my eye. I wiped it quickly when the door opened slightly and Mrs. Sapphire's head popped out.
"Vincent, sweetie, we need to talk to you." She says with sincere eyes.
As soon as she said that, I nodded at her and left my guitar leaning on the wall right beside Nicole.
"I'll come back." I said before heading to the hallway.
The doctor and Nicole's parents were waiting outside
"Sweetie, we know it's hard for you already but the doctor will have to tell you something."
"What's wrong? Is Nicole going to be okay?" I asked.
"I assure you that she will be alright." The doctor says.
I can sense a "but" somewhere around there so I blurted it out, "But..?"
"But she has experienced a massive head trauma due to the impact of her falling on the ground and hitting her head first." The doctor says.
She talks like an alien. Why? Because I clearly do not understand what the hell she's saying, "What does that mean?"
The doctor sighed, "It just means that she won't remember anything when she wakes up. I'm sorry, but she has amnesia."
