"Dude, you're screwed. More so what mean you think that you can find a wife in less than 24 hrs?" Ted informed as he collapses on the nearest chair. We went to date programs, churches, restaurants, etc. Searching for a decent girl that's insane enough to marry me in less than a week.

No luck whatsoever.

When I told them about it wants to know what they thought? They thought that I was crazy. I mean, yeah maybe I was crazy to go along with this plan. But to be honest, some of them were crazier than me. Those women are the perfect reasons to why I don't go on dates anymore.

"How about that girl that works for you," Ted instantly had a bright idea. "What her name again?"

"Linda," I answered.

"She's wifey material," he suggests with a huge grin on his face.

I already don't like where this conversation headed. Anything Ted proposes always ends up in disaster.

"She'll never go for it, besides I don't want her to get into my mess," I reply in a low voice.

"Aww! You gotta a soft spot for her," he replies still grinning studying my reaction as he searches away in his laptop. "Here take a look, she in need of help herself as you are."

"What? How?"

"Her family is in high debt 100,000 dollars at Jackson's hospital," he informed.

I grab his computer to see.

"Why didn't she tell me?" I asked in a concerned tone. "I could've helped."

"Her father had a heart transplant about a month ago, what they've paid so far is not even close to what they still own."

"Maybe, you could use that to your advantage by suggesting a marriage union."

"You have five days left. It's worth a shot." Ted points out as he's gone out of my office.
