so here i am my right arm in a splint and in a sling my ribs wrapped and cuts on my arms legs and head walking in a dam police station as Derek walks behind me making sure i don't run again this stress isn't good for my condition but whatever i thought
"so where did you learn to run that fast" Derek asked as he opened the front door to the police station
"well when i was in school i ran track played soccer and basketball all required a lot of running" i said i kept taking deep breaths hoping i don't faint from my Narcolepsy
"that's impressive" Derek said
I just shrugged
we walk in to see Reid and a bunch of FBI Agents great i thought
Okay Grace just stay calm and tell them anything i thought
"Gracie this is Rossi JJ Emily and Hotch" Derek said
I nodded
then i saw some cops with the people that made my life a living hell i looked at them making eye contact
i shifted uncomfortably
"this was a mistake" I said about to walk out
"Grace we need your help" Rossi said
"with what" i said through hitched breath
they guided me to a room with some of the dead teens pictures all of them i knew i cover my mouth
"you know them" Hotch asked
"i knew all of them" i said sadly
"How" JJ asked
"How do you think we were all runaways avoiding adults Police some of us would rather stay on the street then go back home" I said
"so we rely on each other to survive" i said still looking at the pictures
then i turned around
"what does this have to do with me" I asked
"Does the name Scott Grey mean anything to you" Emily asked
"No should it" I asked
"here sit down kid" Derek said
so i sat down in the chair he pulled one across from me
"Kid Scott Grey is your father" Derek said
"No my father died in a fire" I said
"No Scott Grey is your father and we believe he's looking for you and we believe he's the one doing this to the runaways " Reid said
"No my father died in a fire!" i said glaring at them
"is this why you brought me here so you can..." i blinked a few times "can..." I put my hand on my head
"Gracie" Derek said
"I...umm need to go" I said standing up i leave out the front door of the police station
I start to leave "Gracie what aren't you telling us" Derek asked
"Nothing i just need to go i shouldn't be here" I said about to leave
"wait if you need anything kid don't hesitate to call me" Derek said handing me a card
I nodded leaving
Derek pov
something happened i can't tell what but i am going to find out i walk back in "She's in denial" JJ said
I nodded
i call Garcia
"talk to me" Garcia said
"I need you and your on speaker" I said
"oh I'm ready" Garcia said chuckling
"i need everything you have on Gracie Grey" I said to her
"lets see besides everything i have already told you guys Oh.." Garcia said
"What" Rossi asked
"well ever since she was put into foster care with the May's she was in and out of the hospital with suspicious injuries till she was eight when she ran away" Garcia said
"they were abusing her" I said
"looks like it oh i did not see that one coming"Garcia said
"What" Hotch asked
"At the age of five Gracie was diagnosed with Narcolepsy" Garcia said
"Narcolepsy" Rossi said
"Narcolepsy is a very rare condition only 1 in 2,000 people have it Narcolepsy affects the systems in the brain that helps us stay awake someone with severe Narcolepsy could be just walking down the street and just randomly collapse" Reid said
"Normally it is triggered tremendous amount of stress" Reid said
"so just now" I asked
"She was on the verge of having one" Reid said
"Reid you and Derek search for her i don't want her alone with Scott on the lose" Hotch said
I nodded and we both left
Gracie pov
I'm walking down the street my dad is dead not a freaking serial killer i thought as i kept walking "Gracie!" i turned around to see Derek and Reid
"Honestly can't you guys just give it a rest" i said walking away
"we know about the abuse the May's put you through" Derek said
"I don't know what your talking about" i said as i kept walking
"Come on kid endless trips to the hospital breaks fractures sprains" Derek said
"Shut up .....just...just" I said
they looked at me funny i suddenly got a extreme wave of drowsiness next thing i know is everything goes black
Third person pov
Derek catches Gracie before she hits the ground Reid checks her pulse
"It's her Narcolepsy let's get her back to the station" Reid said
"she'll wake up in an hour" Reid said
Derek nodded picking up Gracie taking her to the station
