Ch. 10

                                                                  Third Person POV

everyone went back to Virginia except Derek and Rossi who were still waiting for Gracie to get out of surgery, Derek was completely worried sick as he sat in the waiting room with his foot shaking, Rossi on the other hand was reading a magazine.

In the operating room as they were performing surgery Gracie would Flat line then they would have to stop and shock her into getting resuscitated. 

                                                      Gracie POV

i was in a beautiful field or meadow the summer breeze felt good on my skin I felt at piece here I closed my eyes as I looked up at the sky, I hummed in relaxation,

"Beautiful isn't it," A soft woman's voice said 

I opened my eyes to see 

"Mom?" I said as I saw her standing next to me, 

"Yes Gracie it's me," She smiled sweetly at me 

I hugged her,

"I've missed you so much," I said as I hugged her

"I know sweetie, I know" She said as she petted my hair 

"But you can't stay here," She said softly 

"what do you mean," I mumbled into her shoulder 

"you can stay here long, your dead," Sweetie 

My eyes got wide,

"you can't stay here, you have your whole life ahead of you," She said 

"But..." I said 

"I know things haven't been easy for you, but you have to live you my little Gracie are going to do great things, But you can't do that if you stay here," She said 

"do you understand?" She said looking into my eyes 

I nodded tears rolling down my cheeks 

"Good, I love you sweetheart," She said 

"I love you too mom," I said as I cried 

then a bright light eloped me and everything became dark 

                                         Third Person POV

the surgeon walked into the waiting room where Derek and Rossi were waiting, they stood as soon as they seen him, 

"That teenager is a living miracle," The Doctor said 

"Is she going to be okay?" Rossi asked 

"yes and frankly I don't know how she survived she flatlined for five minutes but somehow she's alive," The Doctor said 

"Can we see her?" Derek asked 

"Yes, she won't awake for some time though," The Doctor said 

"Thank you," Rossi said 

The Doctor nodded and left 

When Derek and Rossi entered the room they see Gracie hooked up to many wires and a oxygen around her nose,

stitches It broke their hearts seeing the teenager that they came to know in this condition,

                                                 Gracie POV

Beep, Beep, Beep

would someone shut that dam noise up, I thought 

my eyes flutter open

I see that I'm in a hospital room, then all the events come flooding back how am I still alive I thought, 

I look in the Corner of the room to see Derek and Rossi asleep, 

I'm already tired of this I sit up then the beeping went haywire, 

Causing Derek and Rossi to jump out of their skin at this point I started to take off the wires But Derek stopped me,

"whoa, Gracie easy you need to stay in bed your in pretty rough shape, you need to stay in bed." Derek said pushing me lightly so that I lay down 

"Yeah well I can't stay here," I said 

"yes you can and will," Rossi said 

"What were you thinking leaving by yourself to meet him?" Derek said 

"He had my friend, but he ended up killing her and it's all my fault," I said looking down at my hands that were wrapped 

"Gracie none of this is your fault," Rossi said 

"It is, he hurt her to get to me," I said still looking at my hands 

"Listen kid this is no one's fault but Scott's" Derek said 

"Now get some rest," Derek said 

I nodded my eyelids slowly flutter shut
