Ch. 16

                                                      Third Person POV

When Derek was on the phone he was having Garcia tracking the phone call, 

"Anything Garcia?" Rossi asked 

"Guys you're not gonna believe this the phone call was placed from a pay phone outside of the police station," Garcia said 

with that Derek and Rossi rushed outside 

they don't see anyone they cross the street finding the pay phone but Derek spots a familiar red hoodie, 

"Rossi," Derek said pointing at a figure casually walking with the hood on and a backpack on, 

they start to follow her she turns her head like she's listening then starts running, 

"Gracie!" Derek said 

                                                      Gracie POV

as soon as I heard my name being called I started running, 

"Gracie stop!" I heard 

I cut across the street, dodging cars, 

I can't let them catch me I need to do this myself, I thought my stomach hurt because of my injury but I kept pushing myself, I've adapted to pain since I was a kid, 

I cut down an alley, 

I'm losing stamina I'm getting tired I climb up a fire escape to the roof since the buildings are so close together I jump from roof to roof, until I run out of roof tops at the bottom is a bunch of garbage bags and a dumpster, 

"Gracie don't even think about it," I heard ragged breath behind me I see Derek

I'm on the ledge,

"Come on kid get down from there lets talk about this," Derek said 

"There is nothing to talk about," I said 

"Gracie just come on talk to me," He said 

"Derek he killed them because of me! everyone around me is at risk," I said 

"Listen none of this is you're fault," Derek said I see him looking at my shirt that is covered with my own blood, 

"He's not gonna stop just like last time," I said 

"So im gonna give him what he wants, and end this" I said 

"Hey no that's what he wants listen kid, listen to me you're not thinking straight, just come down and talk," I hesitate at first, 

"Gracie," I see Rossi, 

I was glaring at the ground still thinking, 

"Come on kid you're injured you need to see a doctor," Derek said 

"Please,"Rossi said 

I finally stepped down, 

"Damn it kid you scared the hell out of me," Derek said hugging me, 

Rossi then hugged me too, 

"Please don't ever do that again," He said I nodded as I was still hugging him 

hoping that they can help me
