I had to talk to Leo, but I needed to do it face to face. Therefore, I had 3 days until he got home to prep myself for the conversation that we were going to be forced to have.

I put on my usual uniform before going downstairs to have some breakfast.

I saw my mom was still home which was surprising because she usually leaves before I even wake up in the morning.

"Good morning sweetie, how did you sleep?" she asked me while pouring herself some tea.

"I'm fine," I sat down at the table, "shouldn't you be at work right now?"

I began cutting into my waffle when she spoke, "Thought that I would have breakfast this morning with my daughter, everything at the office could wait."

I nodded my head, "Okay then, thanks."

"Mhmm," she was flipping through a magazine but I could feel her eyes glancing up at me every couple seconds.

"Is there anything you want to ask me, mom?" I asked her, slightly narrowing my eyes at her.

"Hmm what? Oh no. Just enjoying breakfast," She had a tight smile on her face. I slowly nodded before going back to eating my food.

A few minutes passed before she broke the silence again, "Actually there is something."

"Okay, what is it?" I asked her hesitantly.

"Have you thought about what you're going to do with the whole Leonardo and you situation?"

"Yes mom, I have."

"And," she carried out the 'n' gesturing with her hands for me to continue.

"And I have a couple of days to prepare and make sure my decision is final before I actually speak to him," I took a sip of my orange juice.

She shook her head, "Actually you don't."

"Don't what?"

"Have a couple of days."

"What do you mean? Why not?" I asked her, anxiety starting to build in my stomach.

"Yeah, um, he's actually on a plane back to New York as we speak," the words came out rushed, but I heard every single one of them.

"What?" I screamed, "He's not okay to leave the hospital yet! How is he coming back early?"

"I spoke to Sofia over the phone and she said that he got super angry over something, started threatening the doctors, forced them to allow him to leave early. Apparently, Sofia and Steven were at dinner when this all went down," She told me.

I gulped. I knew what he was angry about.

"When does his plane land?" I asked my voice in a whisper now.

"Around four, I think," she told me before putting a hand on mine, "And something tells me that this will be his first stop when he lands."

I groaned before letting my head fall onto the table.

After begging my mom to let me stay at home, she declined and forced me to go to school. So here I was, sitting at a lunch table with the girls.

I picked at my food, my anxiety not allowing me to have an appetite.

"Aria c'mon, try to eat something. Do you want to pass out again?" Claire asked me.

"I guess I wouldn't mind that," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Okay stop this grumpy, sad Aria. You knew you were going to have this conversation, only now it's today. Which is good because you can get it out of the way," Elena said shaking my shoulders.
