Chapter 64: Lavender vs Hermione

* After Christmas *

Draco and I are staying in the common room,
His head is on my lap while I comb his hair with my fingers.

I enjoy the silence and the sound of the fireplace.

Cozy.

Then the door opened. "Y/N!"

Draco and I sat up, looking at Hermione.

"Hermione, what are you doing here?"

"It's Ron," she said. "He's been poisoned!"

My eyes widened then I quickly went to her.

Draco's POV

"I'll see you later, Draco!" She said then dashed out of the common room.

I sighed then put my head in my hands.

This is the worst task ever.

If Y/N found out about who I really am, she'll hate me.

I got a few days left. If I didn't do it, The Dark Lord will hurt my mother...or Y/N.

Y/N's POV

We entered the hospital wing. I quickly went to Ginny and Harry. "Tell me the full story."

"He just started shaking and..." Harry trailed off.

"Please tell me you used a bezoar." I said.

"I-I did." He said.

Then Dumbledore, McGonagall, Snape, and Slughorn entered the hospital wing.

"Good thinking on your part, Harry. Using a bezoar. You should be proud of your student, Horace." Dumbledore said.

"I agree. I think Harry's actions is pretty heroic."

While they're talking, Lavender Brown entered.

"Where is he? Where is my won-won? Is he asking for me?" She asked frantically.

I rolled my eyes. "Please go away." I mumbled.

"What are you two doing here?" Lavender asked, looking at us.

Hermione let go of Ron's hand then stood. "I must ask you the same question." She said.

"I happen to be his girlfriend!" Lavender said.

"I happen to be his...friend." Hermione said.

"Don't make me laugh," Lavender said. "You
haven't spoken in weeks. I suppose you want to make up with him because he is suddenly so interesting!"

"He's been poison, you daft dimbo." I said.

"And I've always found him interesting." Hermione said.

Then I heard Ron groaning.

"See? He senses my presence! Don't worry, won-won. I'm here." Lavender said dramatically.
"Hermione..." I heard Ron say, making Lavender storm out of the hospital wing.

Hermione leaned over him then held his hand.

"Oh, to be young and to feel love's keen sting.
Oh, come on, everybody. Mr. Weasley is well- tended." Dumbledore said then left together with the teachers.

"About time don't you think?" Ginny told Harry and I then left.

Hermione looked at Harry and I. "Oh, shut up."

"I want to write a story about this." I whispered to Harry then we both left the hospital wing, smiling.
