💋Mating Process💍

The mating process usually starts as soon as two mates find each other. In some ways, it can be simple, but in others, it can be a lot. In most books, the mating process can end up being like this:
1.) Marking
2.) Mating

In another book I read, called the Female Warrior and the Alpha, the mating process was a bit different:
1.) Touch
2.) Verbally Accept
4.) Mating

Another example of the mating process will be from my book, Bitten. I feel it should be a little more complicated, but that depends on the author.
1.) Verbally Accept
2.) Kiss
3.) Marking
4.) Confess feelings
5.) Mating

Of course, some mates (L*ll**n and J*k*) may skip a few steps. The only two that really need to happen, however, is the marking and mating. The feelings of the pair normally increase drastically when they mark each other (considering the author prefers that ;), and even more when they mate (aka, do the deed, make love, go indoors, etc.)

When a pair of mates mark one another, it's normally a bite on the neck where it meets the shoulder. The canines of the wolf elongate just enough to give their mate a scar the size of their teeth. It shows other wolves that the mate is taken, and off-limits. Here are some key points to know about marking:
··It ties the pair together. Once they mark each other, there's no going back.
··At first, the marking is painful but becomes pleasurable after a while.
··It warns away any other wolf. The larger the mark, the more powerful the mate.
··It deepens the emotions of the pair, as well as lets them feel the other's strongest emotions.
··It can trigger pleasure if the mate of the wolf or the wolf itself touches the mark.

After the marking, the thing that seals the bond is mating. With true mates, it's supposed to be more pleasurable than with anyone else. It also mixes their scent with that of their mate's and warns others away. The key points of mating are:
··It's got intense pleasure for true mates.
··It deepens the emotions of the pair, even more, letting them feel the other's emotions, as well as hear their strongest thoughts.
··It completely seals the bond.
··It can (more than likely) get the female pregnant if done with her true mate.

I'm also going to add pregnancy to this section, as I know it's hard to come by in a werewolf guide.
When a female werewolf is pregnant, she can no longer shift until the pup is born. In some books, she can. But let's just assume she can't. How does her body make up for the temporary loss of her wolf?

Well...

-She'll gain heightened senses, much higher than that of a normal werewolf
-She'll be faster and stronger, probably even able to take on an Alpha in human form

In addition to that (if he wasn't able to already), her mate will be able to sense her emotions.

One detail about pregnancy I'm including in Bitten is that, if a human gets pregnant with a werewolf's child, it's really dangerous for the mother and the child, as werewolf pregnancies typically last between 3 and 5 months-much to fast for the human's body to keep up with.
