At it again

Parents are at it again 
but just like always it’s gotten worse
I’m old enough to understand what’s going on
but still too young to stand alone.
I’m not blind and nether are the strangers that come to our door
You can pretend for everyone but it’s just a bore.

What will happen when you leave
You say I can visit but it’s not cheep
You say I won’t have to choose 
and I can’t lose you two.
But you won’t be here when I get home 
When I need to chat
and to bore you to the bone
Where will you be 
when i’m alone?

I need you both by my side
But I can’t stand to hear you cry
I’m happy you’ve stopped hiding 
But you just keep on fighting.
It starts with snide comments 
then it’s just shouting nonsense.

I fear you will leave
and forget about me.
I love you so much
Just promise you will stay in touch.
