I was worried

I was worried. In fact, I was beyond worried. I couldn't help but sit down and worry. I knew Emilio told me not to worry, but I just couldn't help it. He didn't understand the seriousness of the situation.

I was having a baby in approximately a month and we haven't even prepared a room for the baby, but yet still he wanted me to relax. How could I relax knowing that my baby could come any day and his/her room still wasn't prepared for his/her arrival.

This was bad. This was so bad. I was pacing our room in a panic, running my hands through my hair. I couldn't help but blame the whole thing on Emilio. It was his fault.

Every time I brought it up, he would come up with some bullshit excuse. I have tried to corner him into doing it, but he always seemed to slip out of my grasp.

He always used work as an excuse. I don't know if he thought that I could tell the baby to not come. Like if the baby was ready to come, I could stop him/ her from coming.

He was unbelievable. I wasn't about to just stand around and stress myself out. I'm going get him to prepare the room today. I'm going to use my secret weapon to get him to do it.

My tears. He always got uncomfortable when I cried and always seemed to want to do anything to make me happy. I slipped on some flats on my feet and waddled to his office.

"We need to talk" I said pushing his door open without his permission.

Six pairs of eyes turned their attention to the entrance. Normally I would have been embarrassed and apologize, but not today. I was a woman on a mission.

I glared at them as they all shuffled to their feet and made their way to the door. I'm glad that they got the hint, because I would hate to have to do something I would later regret.

I gave Emilio my meanest glare, but he only gave me a blank stare which really annoyed me. I walked over to his desk and took a seat at one of the seats before his desk. I got comfortable as I cleared my throat to start my rant.

"We need to have a serious talk" I said calmly, even though I was anything but calm.

"Ok" he said wearily, eyeing me suspiciously.

"Emilio, the baby is coming in less than a month and we still don't have the baby's room prepared. You always make up some lame excuse every time I brought it up. I've bought so many stuff and you still refuse to help me set up a room. All I want is to prepare the room" I said tearing up. I was getting emotional... again.

"I have something I need to show you" he said rising from his seat behind his desk.

"There's nothing that you can do to make me feel better" I said folding my hands, refusing to go anywhere with him.

"How about this? When we get back, I'll start working on the room" he negotiated.

"Fine" I said grumpily, getting up with his help.
