Chapter 9

Games

My heart dropped for a moment. "Baka?" I asked him.

"F-Fantastic Baka!" he said and smiled. "Gusto mo samgyup? Sarap do'n!"

Gosh! Tell me, bakit ko nga ba sineryoso 'yong sagot niya? I suddenly forgot his stupid and corny banats!

"Whatever!" sabi ko at naglakad na papasok sa classroom.

Sumasakit lang ang ulo ko sa kanya! Why is he even my crush?!

Bigla na lamang akong nag-bullets sa utak ko.

He's the Top 1, yes smart. The Master Sergeant, yes responsible. He's tall, I wonder if he can do sports? He's funny, that's a given. He's good looking, yeah right whatever!

Napalunok ako sa sariling pag-iisip.

I'm Top 2 naman ah, I'm smart din! I'm part of the prefects, so I can be responsible too! Though I'm not tall, but I look good naman! I'm not saying that we're bagay, ah...

Jax got the highest points for the day. He got 99 overall points, while I only got 94. Fine, he's so smart!

After the class, we, the prefects, have a meeting for the upcoming Freshmen Field Day. Dumiretso na ako sa Class A office.

Doon kami pumwesto sa mahabang table. Jax sat on the middle part and everyone of us sat on the side.

"So, Freshmen Field Day is getting near... I want everyone here to submit a game of your choice," Jax started.

Nag-appear naman si Gelo at Xuri.

"Matutupad na ata 'yung dream games natin!" bulong pa ni Gelo.

Natawa at napailing na lang kami ni Cat sa dalawa. Naku, may ibang plano ang dalawang 'yan!

"I will also ask a representative per class to suggest a game. All of the suggestions will be in a poll, so that the students can vote. The games with the most number of votes will win at 'yon ang lalaruin sa Field Day," Jax said.

"That's a good idea, boss master sergeant mapagmahal," sabi pa Theo.

To be honest, it really is. Pwede naman kasi na kami na lang ang mag-isip ng games tapos 'yun na 'yun... But he's here, considering the opinion of others. Iniisip ang gusto ng nakararami... Paano mo ma-uuncrushed 'yan, sige nga? My gosh naman!

Ngayon ay naghati-hati muna kami sa gagawin. Ako, kasama sina Xuri, Cat, at Gelo ay siyang mga mag-aayos ng hatian sa grupo.

"After we cut all the names per class, let's jumble it and divide it into what, 5 or 6 groups?" si Cat iyon habang nag-gugupit.

"6 na lang," sagot ni Xuri.

"Ako na bahala sa mga group colors!" si Gelo naman.

Busy akong nag-gugupit ng mga names nang biglang may pampam na naman. "Cali!" Jax called.

Bumaling ako sa kanya. "What?"

Silang tatlong boys naman ang toka sa pagpa-plot ng schedule.

"Tara saglit, may papakita lang..." seryoso niyang sabi kaya naman agad na akong tumayo at lumapit dito. Maybe it's about the schedule.

Inilapit niya iyong phone niya sa akin at halos lumuwa ang mga mata ko sa nakita.

"Binoto kita, Cal! Tignan mo, lamang ka na!" masaya niyang sabi.
