Field Day
Freshmen Field Day will happen this week. Everything was already planned out. The schedules, teams, and the games! Oh, the games!
Apparently, sa sampung laro na kailangan, napasama pa ang Apple Eating doon! My Dad will freak, I tell you! I'll just pray that there will be no pictures of me playing that game!
Tuwang-tuwa si Xuri at pasok din ang Banana Game. Si Gelo naman ay hindi pinalad sa Eggplant Game niya. Tapos si Grant? Oh, I don't even want to talk about it but his Academic Decathlon won! It won't be written though, but a debate kind of thing. I-rerevise daw ni Gelo 'yong mga topic, eh!
Hindi rin kami nagpapansinan ni Jax. It's been days... Alam kong napapansin na rin iyon ng mga kasama namin dito sa Star Sapphire Class.
"One seat appart lang tayo rito sa Greenhouse pero parang kasya pa ata limang tao sa pagitan n'yo ni Jax! Social distancing, teh?" Gelo whispered.
I just shrugged.
I don't know what to feel about it, honestly. Ayaw ko na lang munang pansinin ang feelings ko para sa kanya. I was still pissed thinking about the possibility that he cheated.
Students will be divided into 6 groups. We used the wheel of fortune online. So, kagrupo ko si Theo at Grant. Hindi ko alam kung swerte iyon o malas. Pwede na rin kaysa si Jax...
"Welcome to Freshmen Field Day!" panimula ng Headmistress. She's very classy and articulate. I still can't believe that she is Jaxith's mother.
Now that I already knew it, I'm seeing the resemblance one way or another.
"I want everyone to have fun," Ms. Yrreverre added. "And remember, unity is strength. When there is teamwork, wonderful things can be achieve."
Nagsama-sama na ang mga teams. We're the red team and I was chosen as the leader.
Kumunot ang noo ko nang makita si Jax doon sa blue team at katabi pa si Claire! Blue team din 'yun? Hmp!
The announcer asked each leader for a "kasabihan" before the game starts. Para na rin daw makilala kung sino ang leader ng bawat grupo.
Si Gelo, ang leader ng yellow team, ang nanguna.
"I'm Gelo, the leader of the yellow team, at naniniwala ako sa kasabihang 'tell me who your friends are, tapos pakilala mo ako roon sa cute'!"
Nagsigawan ang lahat habang nanlaki ang mga mata ko. Ang kalat, sis!
Si Xuri naman ng green team ang sumunod.
"I believe in the saying that, pag hindi ka crush ng crush mo, never say die! Tomorrow is another guy!"
Oh my God, Xuriella! My friends are so makakalat!
Jaxith was next. Masungit ko siyang tinignan habang inaabot sa kanya iyong mic. Malakas ang tilian. Makatili naman 'tong mga 'to! Wala pa nga, eh!
"Go, Master Sergeant!" I heard a girl shouted at ka-team ko pa! I glared at her. What a traitor? My gosh!
"Ako si Jax, leader ng blue team, at naniniwala sa kasabihang, kung hindi ako ang para sa kanya... Kawawa naman siya!"
Tumaas ang kilay ko roon. Ang lakas pa ng tilian! Kala mo naman talaga! Like duh?
Sa inis ko ay nairapan ko pa iyong nag-abot ng mic.
"I'm Cali, red team's leader, and I believe in the saying, kung ayaw mo sa 'kin, eh, 'di 'wag!"
