I Hate Bombs With Passion!

There are lots of qualities that many people didn't know about me. One: I'm a voracious eater. Well, not all the time. There are times that my hunger is insatiable. My cousin often teases me about it, but I just ignored his remarks most of the time. My priority is my stomach.

Now, sitting in front of this two gentleman, I felt contented. My stomach is full, and my earlier dilemma is solved.

To think that I doubt the food serve in front of me.

"I'm amused by your appetite miss. Interesting," Cain commented not hiding his amusement and curiosity. I remained silent and just gave him a weak smile. I don't know why, but this guy gives me the creeps.

After the servants finished clearing the table, Axel finally spoke. "I believe it's about time to begin."

Cain's mischievous smile faded and was replace by a blank look. "It's best for everyone not needed in this deal to leave the room," He said seriously not looking away from me.

Does that mean I should also leave?

I don't see why not. As a matter of fact, he's already doing me a favor. I could leave this place while he keeps Axel busy. I still have a flight to catch.

Axel raised his right hand, giving everyone a signal to go. That's also my cue.

I stand up on my chair, but before I could even turn, Axel's hand found its way over my wrist making me halt. I looked at Axel bewildered.  "Stay," Axel ordered.

"Wha-what?" I looked at him with confusion written all over my face.

"You'll be my advisor in this exchange," He said.

I look at him like he has grown another head. Is he out of his mind? How could I be his advisor in this matter? I don't even know what's going on. I'm confused.

"Just sit," He said.

Before I could even retort, we heard a clap followed by an excited tone saying, "Wonderful, wonderful!" It was Cain. He had a broad smile plastered on his face while watching us. He's clearly amused at the scene in front of him.

"It's a good choice to ask an opinion from a lady about this matter," He said enthusiastically. "But further delay will cost you your head," Cain added grimly making me sit back on my chair.

"Trust me," Axel says, surprising me.

Trust him? I scoffed. Yeah right. As if!

Worried for my safety, I look around the room. As expected, there are no guards around.  It also makes me wonder if I am really needed here.

"Now, shall we?" Cain asked.

Axel didn't say anything, but Cain proceeds. He takes out the metal case he's holding earlier and starts opening it. After pressing a few numbers on the lock pad, I heard a click followed by the opening of the metal case. It revealed a small and worn out box in the middle. It has a few moss at the side, making it look old and dirty.

"More than billion euros for this baby if auction in the black market," Cain said proudly.

"What?" I accidentally blurted out loud. I can't help it. I just can't believe that thing costs that much.

Cain's gaze landed on me. Grinning like a lunatic, he said, "The box may look dirty and inexpensive, but-" He took out a dagger out of his sleeve, and stabs the wooden box, breaking it to pieces. "Beneath, it holds a priceless material called-,"
