📍The Hospital
two months later..

"We don't think he's gonna make it." I put my head down taking a deep breath "I know in the beginning he was starting to get better but nothing has changed in these past few months, not even his bruises have gotten any better." The doctor held his clipboard against his chest.

"But- but he can't leave me he just can't" I sobbed holding Pierre's hand in both of mine "Last week you asked us to give him another week and we did, and nothing changed. I think it's time."

"Oh my god.." I started to ugly cry "I'll give you a minute to yourself." He walked out the room as I continued to crying. "Pooh you gotta get up.. they tryna take you from- me" I sniffed

I let go of his hand grabbing my phone from in between my legs called Momma Mookey. She answered on the fourth ring "They- they tryna take him Momma.."

"Kali calm down what do you mean they tryna take him?" I sniffed looking up at the ceiling "Last week I didn't wanna tell you but they kept saying they were gonna let him go so I asked them to give him a week to see if he'd get any better.. and- and they said ok but he hasn't gotten better and they tryna take him Momma" I looked down watching as my tears fell onto my jeans

Momma Mookey and the rest of their close family members were out of town, they invited me but I declined it because I had to make sure Pierre was ok and I didn't want my birth giver trying anything stupid with Malani like she'd been doing lately.

"What!?"

"I wanted to tell y'all but I didn't wanna-"

"You don't have to explain yourself I know why you didn't say anything but I want they asses to know my baby ain't going no got damn where" I grabbed some Kleenex's blowing my nose

"Imma call you back when he comes back in here, ok?"

"Ok baby, don't worry yourself about him leaving this earth, he ain't going nowhere without my consent" I giggled a little be for I said my goodbyes and hung up the phone

"Pooh I need you to move or something for me please baby please" I sized him up and down waiting for him to move or do something "Pooh-"he gripped onto my hand

Am I tripping?

"Did you do what I think you just did?" I wiped my tears "Pooh move again for me" I payed close attention to him. seconds later his head moved "Baby can you say something?"

"mm."

"Can you open your eyes?" He just laid there "Grab my hand twice for no and once for yes, can you open your eyes pooh?" he grabbed my hand twice

"Are you still in a coma?" He grabbed my hand twice again "Alright we will be starting the process here in a few minutes-" The doctor came back in speaking "You ain't finna start no damn process. He's out of a coma" I unlocked my phone

"No ma'am he's not" The doctor said as he and his crew started to come in.  I continued to hold Pierre's hand in my left "HES NOT GOING NO FUCKING WHERE, MOVE!" I got up from my seat pushing them all away from his bed

"Chill" I heard Pierre say barely above a whisper. looked over at him as he moved his body a little "Baby don't move if your in pain" I walked back over to his side "Oh my goodness  ma'am we are so sorry, I thought he was still in a coma. I am so truly sorry" The doctor said as he and his crew hurried out the room

"I'm gonna go get you another doctor" I walked out his room going to the front desk that was on his floor level requesting a new doctor

1 hour later..

I called Momma Mookey back letting her know everything was ok but I didn't tell her he was up because I knew her and everybody else would try to rush back down here and I wanted them to enjoy them selves. "I ain't never did drugs before.." I looked at him waiting for him to continue

"This perc got me high as a bitch" He said "When I can open my eyes, I want you to be the first person I see"

"Have you tried to open them?"

"Nope" He popped the p smiling "You are stupid" I laughed at him "Is it bright in here?"

They should've gave him meds, he's talking too much now, but I guess i'm slightly ok with it. I missed my baby.

"Not really, you want me to turn the lights off?" He turned his head as if he could see me "Yep" I got up to turn them off before I returned to my seat "I'm finna open themmm"

"Ok then open themmm" I mocked him "If my body didn't hurt I would punch you" I laughed at his comment as I got on instagram knowing he would take forever to open his eyes

"You so beautiful" He said "I already know your eyes ain't open" I shook my head continuing to scroll through instagram

"It hurt a little bit when I try to open them" I looked over at him "You don't have to open-"

"Yes I do girl" He said in a feminine voice, I shook my head at him before I continued my scrolling spree "Yellow look good as fuck on you" I looked down at what I was wearing before I looked over at him seeing him smirking at me

I got up quickly laying next to him hugging him "Girl don't kill me now shit" I laughed as I kissed his face all over "Visitation hours will be over in thirty minutes I repeat thirty minutes" The woman said over the intercom

"You staying here with me" He spoke as he watched the tv "I already asked, they told me I can't pooh" I poked my bottom lip out looking at him "Man fuck they asses you staying with me" He kissed my cheek before his attention returned to the tv

I heard my phone start ringing so I got up to grab it "Hello?"

"We got em." That's all he had to say before I grabbed my hoodie and rushed out the hospital.
