«57 - Peter Ratri»

We approach the door leading to the drawing room.

Peter Ratri is much too smart to be caught so easily like this. He made a miscalculation, but their clan should be trained to overcome such a situation.

I bust the door open while Emma and Ray aim their guns at the door.

"What?" Ray mumbles.

The room is empty. Guess I was right...

Why did I have to be right...?

"No one's here. It's likely a trap." I scoff.

We enter further into the room, weapons ready for anything.

"Vincent. Vincent, are you there?" Norman asks through the headset.

"𝙷𝚎𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎, 𝙽𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚗. 𝙸𝚝'𝚜 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚊 𝚠𝚑𝚒𝚕𝚎. 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚒𝚍 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚠𝚎𝚕𝚕."

Crap! That's Peter Ratri's voice. So that's where he is. Vincent is likely alive seeing as it's intended that we'll be fed to the demons. If they kill us here, they can't preform the Gupna ceremony.

As the voice speaks out, several adult men with guns walk into the room, aiming at us. If we move, they'll shoot.

"𝙳𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝙻𝙰𝙼𝙱𝙳𝙰. 𝙰𝚗𝚗𝚒𝚑𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚀𝚞𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙵𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚁𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝙷𝚘𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚜, 𝚍𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚝𝚎𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚊𝚕 𝚛𝚞𝚕𝚎. 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚒𝚗𝚏𝚒𝚕𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝙶𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚎 𝙵𝚒𝚎𝚕𝚍 𝚜𝚖𝚘𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚕𝚢, 𝚝𝚘𝚘. 𝙿𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚝𝚢 𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛 𝚊 𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚕𝚍 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚜𝚎𝚍 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚘𝚍. "Where are Vincent and the others?" Norman's demands through gritted teeth.

"𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚢'𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚎. 𝙷𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚖𝚎." He announces.

I was right. Peter is using them as hostages. A new 'method' to enforce us to submit to his rule. It... It won't work!

As I look to Norman, Emma and Ray, I see that they've realised it too.
