Some people misplace their car keys
Or jewelry
Or rarely, phones
But I have mastered the art of misplacing my user's manual
Unexpected situations
Mainly frustration
Confusion
I forget how to breath
Lost
Overwhelmed
Numb
I forget how to smile
And then my heart stutters at beats
And my lungs trip on air
My eyes sting
And my mind forgets reason
And when I'm asked "what's wrong?"
My voice goes missing.
One small upsetting thing
And I forget everything
about functioning.
