Tracy's pov
"I'm going to see him" Chloe said quickly
"I want to be the one to see him" I defended
"He needs me by his side" she said facing me with furious eyes
"He also needs me, by his side" I said glaring at her
"Uhm, well who is it then?" The doctor said looking uncomfortable
"Me!!" Chloe and i said at the same time, she shot me a glare and the doctor sighed
"If you can't decide, I guess you both can see him" the doctor said looking frustrated
"Thank you" I said with a smile, Chloe just scoffed and walked past me
I entered the room after Chloe and connor looked at us with a smile, tears stung the corner of my eyes, I ran to him and gave him a hug
"Connor" i said my voice cracking at the end
"Tracy, my back" he said softly and I pulled away quickly, I forgot he was injured, I looked at chloe and she was just staring at us with an emotionless expression
"Why are you crying?" He asked reaching out for my face
"Why do you think?, I was worried that I might never see you again" I said as the tears continued to fall
"Well, stop crying I'm fine, I can't be taken down so easily" he said with a cocky smile
"You say that, but you got beaten up quite badly" Chloe said sitting on the bed
"Yeah, but I'm fine now...really" he said with an assuring smile
"Mrs dominique and Anna just left some hours ago" Chloe said
"So did Nichole, nicky and zayn" I add
"They all came?" He said looking shocked
"Of course they did, they care about you...don't look so surprised" Chloe said, her cheeks started turning pink
"I'm also here because, I care.....a lot"
Connor stared at her as if looking for the right words to say
"I'll get going, I'm glad your okay" she said getting up
"Its late, can't you stay till morning?" Connor asked looking worried
"No baby, your alright and that's all that matters" she said finally acting like herself, throughout today, she's been acting odd, maybe she was just worried about connor
"Okay, bye then" connor said with a smile, she gave him a peck than left without another word, We stayed in silence for a few minutes till I spoke up
"Uhm, so....what happened?"
"What do you mean?" He said playing dumb
"Who did this to you?" I ask in a serious tone, he stared at me as if contemplating whether he should tell me or not
"Was it your dad?" I blurt and his eyes widened
"No, of course not!, the man's a jerk but he won't do something like this, at least not to his son" he said lowering his voice at the ending
"Then who?"
"Some thugs I owe money" he said and I snap my head at him in shock
"Thugs?.....why do you owe thugs money?" I ask and for some reason I was afraid
"Do you remember that illegal biking arena, we were in once?" He asks and I nod "well, that place is filled with all sorts of people... not good people, the people who race there usually make bets..."
"What type of bets?" I ask cutting him off
"Its mainly racing bets, winner states a price and no matter how much it is, the loser has to pay, I lost once and now I owe Antonio a hundred thousand dollars" he said and a gasp escapes my mouth
"That's insane, why would you involve yourself in those kind of stuff " I said getting up and pacing around the room "but your dad's a millionaire, why don't you just ask him for money!" I ask involuntarily trembling
"What am I gonna tell him?, I need a hundred thousand dollars because I lost a gamble?, plus I don't want anything to do with that man" he said clenching his jaw
"B-but, what if the thugs attack you again, what if they find out your not dead, what if..."
"I'm tired, I'm going to sleep" he said cutting me off, I stared at him as he made himself comfortable on the bed
"What are you staring at?, come over here" he said signaling me to lie beside him on the bed
"Uhm, no I'll sleep on the chair" I said my cheeks heating up
"Tracy" he said in a stern tone not taking no for an answer. I walk over to him and cautiously lie beside him, I stayed at the edge in order to make as little body contact as possible
"What if you fall of?" He said looking at me with a cocked eyebrow
"I won't, I don't move in my sleep" I said with a wide smile which he returned with a smirk
"Well I'm not taking any chances" he said holding my waist and pulling me closer to him, I pressed my lips together and tried to hide my red face, this is the closest I've ever been to connor, even when we were kids I could only dream of being this close to him
"What's wrong, you looked flushed " he said looking down at me, I blushed harder, if this goes on I might go breathless
"Good night... tracy" he said and closed his eyes, he has said my name many times...why does it sound different now?, I stared at him when he fell asleep, he was beautiful... but that beautiful face had some scars now because of what those thugs did to him, if only I could pay off his debt, then we won't have to worry about this happening again, a tear dropped from my eyes and I soon fell asleep
I woke from my sleep and find myself I the oddest position, my legs were wrapped around connor and one arm was around his neck
"Don't move in your sleep huh?" He said causing me to squeal and jerk off the bed landing on my butt
"Ouch" I said in pain
"Are you okay?" Connor asked trying to suppress his laughter
"Yeah" I said glaring at him
"Is he awake!?" we heard faint voices from outside making a conversation and Mrs dominique entered, she rushed to connor and gave him a hug while pecking him multiple times on the cheek
"Oh connor, I'm so glad your alright...what will I have done if you weren't" she said and started sobbing
"Just stop already, I'm fine as you can clearly see" he said looking slightly vexed, she continued to converse with him before she noticed me
"Oh Tracy you stayed here all night?" She asked and I nodded, she was about to say something else before my phone began to ring
"Excuse me" I said shyly and answered the phone it was from an unknown number
"Hello"
"Tracy" the voice answered sound familiar, it took me some seconds to realize it was zayn
"Zayn what's u-..."
"Your father is alive"
