Forgiveness

"Surprise!" Connor exclaims as he opens the door to the house revealing a nicely decorated living room and a huge banner with 'CONGRATULATIONS TRACY' boldly printed on it, my dad, Nicholas, Nichole, Janiya, Anna, Chloe, Mrs dominique and even my therapist doctor Greene were there with smiles on their faces

'Awwwn guys, you didn't have to......what if we didn't win?" I ask

"Then we will still congratulate you for making it this far" connor says and I couldn't help but smile at his cockiness

"Thank you, all of you, for being here" I said and my mood immediately changes

"Tracy are you alright?" Connor asks

"I'm alright coco, its just.... I wish my mom was here" I say and he furrows his eyebrows and pouts making him look extremely cute

"You want us to go see her?" Connor asks and I shake my head vigorously... I'm happy and I want to stay happy

Everyone left once it got late except for janiya, apparently her and Anna were going to have a sleep over.

I close the door when I reach my room and bring out a box of cookies, I've dealt with everything else, except this disease, I slowly eat the cookies and I don't throw up, I lie in bed for thirty minutes and I don't throw up, is it possible that I'm healed?..... well I have been eating well lately and not missing a day of therapy, I inwardly smile and start crying, tears of joy....I'm so happy.

I wake up happy and skip downstairs and hear Mrs dominique having a conversation with someone

"I don't think she really wants to see you" Mrs dominique says and I hear my moms voice reply

"Please just let me see my daughter"

"Mom" I say stepping foward, she was dressed like herself and didn't look like a drunky

"Tracy" she calls out softly and her eyes turn teary, I hold back my urge to hug her, I missed her....I really really did

"Your looking better" she says with a genuine smile

"No thanks to you" I say and her smile turns upside down

"I know, I'm sorry" she says and I scoff

"I don't think sorry is nearly enough mom" I say and she nods in agreement

"Could you follow me somewhere?" She asks and I think before nodding, I run up to Connors room to tell him

"Do you want me to come with?" He asks and I shake my head

"Its okay coco, if I need anything I'll give you a call" I said and pecked him on the cheek before leaving with my mom.

The drive was brief and quiet but we finally make a stop at a burial ground, I watched as my mom took flowers from the backseat and I follow her as we reached a grave stone 'Bianca Garcia' was written on it and I send my mom a questioning look

"She was my mom, your grandma" she says and I widen my eyes in shock, my mom never spoke about my Grandma or Grandpa, I throught she was an orphan and never asked

"She wasn't a great mother, but she made me who I am today 'don't wear that Victoria, wear this', you can't eat that Victoria, you can't say that Victoria, you shouldn't talk to him Victoria, do this...do that' she was always nagging me and I hated it, I swore that if I had children I'm going to give them as much freedom as they need" she says

"But you didn't...... why?" I ask and she chuckles softly

"I got scared, scared that I won't be able to raise you up right and my mom shaped my life so much I didn't think it was mine anymore" she says and I stare at her in a whole new light

"That's exactly how I feel mom, you've always told me what to do, how to dress, what to eat, who to-"

"I'm sorry " she says and cuts me off "very sorry" she continued
"My mom died not too long ago and I got depressed, she died without knowing how I feel, I let my emotions get the best of me and completely ignored how you felt" she said and tears started falling from her eyes

"Please forgive me" she says
and breaks down, I start crying too and hug her

"Mami" my mami, she must have had it hard growing up

"I love you" she says and I stare at her in shock, in all my seventeen years of living I've never heard her say those words to me

"I love you too mummy" I say and she smiles and kisses my forehead

"Will you move back in, I got a new job" my mom says when we got back into the car

"No" I said and she snaps her head at me shocked

"I'll start living with dad till I go to college....and mom?" I call out and she hums in response

"I want you to apologize to dad" I say and a small smile crosses her face

"I plan to" she said and I smiled, thank God, she's making progress.

We arrived at my dads shop and I smile happy that he decided to reopen
the shop

Connor and Nicholas were there, no sign of zayn, I go hug my dad before going to where connor was

"Your mom's looking better" he says and I smile

"Yeah she is" I say staring at her as her and my dad spoke
"Coco" I say turning to face him

"Yeah?" He responded with a pleased smile

"How did you and zayn meet?" I ask and Nicholas's head snaps up and he stares at me

"What an odd question" he says and connor sighs

"At the orphanage" he said slowly "he is an orphan?, how did he get so rich?" I ask

"His father is alive, but he kept zayn at the orphanage because he had to take care of his business, but when he got old he decided he needs a heir to take over from where he stopped" connor said, I wonder what business that is

"Okay, how did you and Nicholas meet?" I ask and he furrows his eyebrows

"At the orphanage, my mother owns the orphanage they were in so, sometimes she let's me go" nic said and I smile....everything was at the orphanage

"Do you miss the people at the orphanage?" I ask and he shakes his head

"Okay but how-"

"What's up with all these questions?" Connor asks running his hands through his hair

"Nothing, I just realized I don't know much about you" I say, I'll stop if my questions are annoying him

"Troy, trust me, you know me, better than anyone else in this world" he says and wraps his arms around my waist

"Cough cough" nic said pretending to cough and glaring at connor

I giggled making them both chuckle.
