Lan Qiren watched Wei Wuxian rushed out like a bolt while he is secretly gloating. He had just told Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji that Lan Xichen has known about the devious board game beforehand to see how Wei Wuxian will react. And, as he expected, Wei Wuxian really got mad that Lan Xichen deceived not only them, but Jiang Cheng the most!
However, he can't feel gloating anymore and his face cracked when he saw Lan Wangji unhesitatingly followed Wei Wuxian. That's not all! He even heard his untalkative nephew spoke words, but to comfort Wei Wuxian!
