I come from a big city, a small village
I come from the sea, spending hours watching the waves
I come from a secure childhood, a loving family
I come from a fond home where performance doesn’t matter

I come from a happy life with music, books, movies
I come from sinking into different times, a different world, another reality

I come from trying to find myself
I come from “don’t stress, do your best, forget the rest”,
But I forget not to stress and don’t do my best
I come from destroying myself, hating the way I act
I come from accepting myself sometimes

I come from copying people without noticing
I come from a thousand thoughts running in circles through my mind
I come from day dreaming since I was a child

I come from mood changes every two seconds
I come from hating people I love
I come from struggling with my feelings
I come from trying to find the good things,
The good in people, the good in me

I come from being emotional
I come from making simple things complicated
I come from freaking out because of nothing

I come from wishing for a friend,
Not noticing the best ones are already on my side
I come from wanting to be loved, accepted as who I am,
But I already am
I come from wishing to be normal, but
I come from having no clue what “normal” means
