Today my mom and dad were coming down from "work" and they supposedly staying for 3 days.Did I invite them no! I went to open the door and plaster a fake welcoming smile on my face.
Heyy mom and dadd!!
"Hello baby"my mom said huggin me then putting hand sanitizer on.I undercover rolled my eyes at her extraness.
"Hey baby girl"my dad said grabbing my cheeks
Uhh don't do that. I smiled then turned around dropping it.They walked in and sat on the couch and I followed.
Soo..how was the business trip? I clapped starting a conversation.My mom pulled out a Lysol spray, spraying the couch then sitting down sighing.
"Well sweetie..as a business lady and your lovely father a businessman,we are busy but it pays off bc we earn lots of money after."
"Babe that's not wat she asked"my dad said laughing
"Anyway baby girl the trip was...professional I guess,we were working back to back,we really didn't do anything.I wanted to take your mom to this street restaurant and try new things But u know as she always say"

"If it ain't expensive then I can't eat it"we both mocked my mom rolling our eyes
"U see hunny as a business women,I want to eat expensive,$100 for 1 chicken,u kno things like that.I have the money"She said
"Money is never a problem"we mocked again
"Anyways where is your rich husband that owns many businesses and lives n a mansion with many cars and a maid?"my mom asked looking around.
Well mother I didn't find that "specific man"yet.It's hard finding a perfect man,why?because kno one is perfect but the man above.
"Ohhh yess,um wats his name?Juels oh no Jesus."
Yes Jesus. I smiled thanking him for everything.
But I think I found someone. I smiled uncontrollably.
"Baby girl your smiling very wide.Tell me who this special someone is."my dad said excitedly sitting up in his seat.
Well his name is major,he's very handsome and so kind and giving.He always brings me flowers n tells me I'm beautiful every time we talk.He always make sure I'm ok and every thing else.
"Well how does this "major" live?How is his house?does he have a Ferrari or Mercedes-Benz or what about a tesla?where does he work?in a office?"My mom asked sitting up looking at her freshly done nails.
Well this may sound crazy but he lives in a homeless shelter and he-
"A HOMELESS SHELTER?"my mom jumped up
Mom please. I begged her Look beside that just like I did.he's a great person and someone who I love to be around.
I looked over at my dad who was laughing like Kevin heart told a joke.I sighed.This is why I didn't want to say anything.But I don't want to feel like I'm hiding him bc of where he lives.
Dad wats so funny,can u guys just be supportive for once,gosh!!! I yelled as his laughter died down.
"Young lady who are u talking to?"my mom walk up on me and I sat back down and said
"nobody,I was talking to myself. "And put my head low. As she sat back down.
"Nova..are you ..like serious?You're dating someone homeless."my dad asked
Were not dating but I do kinda like him.He just brings so much happiness to my life.
"I- I don't even know wat to say but I'm-I'm goin to support u since he supposedly make u so happy.I'm proud that your not judging him at least.and I do apologize for laughing.."my dad said coming and hugging me.
"I can not support something so nasty like that.Like seriously I raised u so much better then that.What can he offer u if he can't even provide for his self?"my mom asked in disbelief.
"Happiness.He can offer her happiness jasmine.If she's happy then I'm happy."
"Is this what your supporting hunny?She setting her self up for failure.But now she's a failure.Are u even still in college?18 years of living with me,wat did u learn?Nothing!UR SO DUMB TO THE POINT U JUST DON'T THINK AT ALL.U DON'T HAVE STANDARDS FOR YOURSELF.I FEEL LIKE U WASTED MY TIME.ALL THE CLASSES,THE LESSONS I TAUGHT U.JUST EVERYTHING,UGH U REALY DISGUST ME NOVA.I'm goin to bed."she yelled at me going upstairs.
"Um Im gonna go check on ur mother nova"my dad left me alone on the couch.I looked back and seen him gone and just broke down crying.Am I really dumb bc I feel dumb.Im failing one of my classes,IM liking a homeless man.I haven't found a rich man yet.
Wat am I doing wronggg.
I said as I cried to myself soon heading to bed also.
Im just goin to distance my self away from major..
