(Elizabeth pov )

I was standing there smiling as I looked at my mother who seemed a bit excited to see the girl open her gift But it all happened so fast one moment the girl is struggling with the paper the next the scent of blood in the air as I see a drop fall to the ground and I felt like I went into a frenzy

"Ow paper cut " Bella said In my mind I knew I shouldn't but I tried to teleport to the girl when that didn't work and I just shimmered out or maybe it looked like a glitch for some but it was just for a moment and then I was still standing back in the spot that I was originally confused I looked up and went to run at her

As I took my 1st step I realized I wasn't the 1st one to attack as the boy named Jasper was thrown back into a Mini grand piano The big one Emmett along with my mother's husband Carlisle Went to hold Jasper as the pixie Alice and the blonde Rosalie went to restrain me before I could even get closer to bella

Rosalie wrapped her arms through both of mine holding them behind my back while I'm struggling and she is holding me in place she looked at Alice "I got it Alice go calm Jasper down" Rosalie said as my mother stood in front of me trying to get me to focuse on her while I was growling at Rose for holding me

"Shh shh It's OK my sweet girl it's OK it's OK just focus on me It's only" My mother stopped speaking as I let out a growl twice as loud as the smell of blood got stronger I tried to Teleport once again to no Avail Rosalie still had her iron grip on my arms holding me in place

"Calm down everyone it's alright I got it get those 2 out of here" Carlisle told everyone as he held up a bloody hand from Bella's arm that now had a large Gash From when she went flying into the tableThat Edward pushed her into Rosalie started to drag me away with the help of my mother I fought as much as I could growling and hissing but they both held on

After we were a few miles away and the air was clear of The smell of blood And only fresh air surrounding us I dropped to my knees in horror at what I just done what I just tried to do I knew my mother cared for that girl and 8 just tried to kill her

A dry sobs left my mouth as my fist clinched the dirt on the ground "I.... I... I'm so sorry I didn't mean to I... I..." I was so distraught I couldnt get my words out and barely even noticed my mother kneeling before me taking my face in her hands trying to calm me down

I don't get how she is not mad at me I almost killed a girl she saw as one of her children she should be yelling and scolding me right now I mean I ruined everything

(Esme's pov)

I watched as Elizabeth started to have a breakdown in the middle of the forest after we got away from the house sge dropped to her knees and kept apologies

I know she didn't mean it we all have a hard time with human blood especially when it's right there in front of us and she's just got off of human blood and on to the animal diet so I knew not to blame her

but she was breaking down I didn't know what to do so I kneeled in front of her ever so softly cupping her face in my hands "shhh shhh It's OK you didn't hurt no one it's all fine you're fine Bella will be fine it's OK with human blood it's hard to fight off our instincts we've all struggled with it even I have "

I tried to tell her but I don't think it got through because she just kept saying I'm sorry I'm sorry Over and over again I pulled a close to my chest as she grabs a handful of my shirt and dry sobs into it

After a few moments she calms down and I pull away But she doesn't even look up to meet my eyes her head is down as she stares at the ground "I should probably go I'm sorry again"

Before I could even protest she teleported Away and I was left sitting there staring at the spot she was in i felt horrible for a moment my baby girl was hurting and I couldn't comfort her what if I never see her again

As if sensing my iner turmoil Rose walked up behind me placing a hand on my shoulder "it's fine Esme she probably just needs some time to clear her head she probably went back to Tanya's don't worry she'll come back"

I nod at her as she helps me to my feet " You're right you're right we should head back clean up the mess so the others can come home without being uncomfortable" she nods and we head back to the house

After we get to the house rose took off to go find Emmett and hunt as I went inside and started to clean the floor with bleach holding my breath as I scrubbed it down as I was finishing up Edward walked in With a pained look on his face I hate seeing my children like this 1st Elizabeth and then Edward I broke my heart seeing them both like that I thought

"Sorry Esme how is Elizabeth" he asked as I was taking everything outside to burn it " She seems to be upset with herself I think she went back to Tanya's for a while I'll try talking to her after I give her a little bit to calm down" he nods then goes to get Bella to take her home

Slowly everyone starts to make their way home we're all waiting in the living room as Alice says that Edward needs to talk with us It isn't long until we hear his car pull up and hes standing in the doorway Looking upset Once he speaks he shocks us all

"We need to leave"
