(Tanya pov)
It has been a few months since Laurent has left to track down Elizabeth and we have not heard from him or her. The Cullens stayed for a bit but they have all left now. Before the did they told me that they will call if they hear anything on where they are or where they have been.
I don't understand why she hasn't came back yet but I can only sit and hope she comes back soon. Since I didn't go with Laurent like i wanted I am just left sitting here at the house waiting .
I am sat in the living room right now just reading a book I have when I hear someone come in and sit across from me. As I look up I see it is just Irina with the same look one her face I have been wearing for awhile now. We are both disheartened that we don't have our mates here with us.
I let out a frustrated groan as I close my book and look at her. "I knew i should have went with him who know what could've happened to them. " I say as I look at Irina
She looks over to me and gives me a small smile. "I don't see why he went after her in the first place she would of came back. You know as well as I do that the mate bond won't let her stay away for to long."
I sigh out a needless breath "she has been gone for comming up on five months now. I feel like I am going crazy. We have not heard from either of them and it makes me nervous." I tell her
"I know but she most likely just needs time. From what the Cullens said she almost attacked a human and you know how she feels since she has been on our diet. she most likely just feels bad I am sure Laurent is with her helping her through what ever is going through her head. Try not to worrie to much the will be back."
I just nod at what she said. I know she is right my Elizabeth took great pride in the fact that she was switching over to the vegetarian diet and she was probably beating herself up over losing control. I just wish she would come back to me already.
Eventually I go back to reading my book. Irina finds a book of her own and we just sit in silence waiting for Kate Carmen and Eleazar to come back from hunting.
Right as the three of them come in the door my phone start to ring. I quickly grave it just hoping it is Esme with news on Elizabeth. "hello" I say as I hear a small breath on the other side of the line.
"Tanya it me" my breath hitched as the sweet sound I have longed to hear come over the phone and I let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh Elizabeth! Where are you? What where you thinking leaving and not telling me? Is Laurent with you? Are you ok? When are you coming home? Do you need me to come and get you?" I fired question after question at her only to be rewarded but a sweet giggle coming from her.
"Hold on slow down. Yes I am fine. Yes Laurent is with me not sure where we are right now we are away from any town but somewhere in the middle of America. No I don't need you to come get me and we where thinking of coming home soon. " she tells me and I can hear Irina breath out a sigh of relief at the fact that they would be home soon.
"OK now why did you take off and not tell me? I would of went with you." I ask her
"Well as Laurent told me my mother showed up there right. And she told you what happened? " she questioned
"Yes I was scared when they showed up. You weren't with them I've been worried about you. I did not know where you went or if you where ok I just..." I started to say but she cut me off
"I know I know I am so sorry about that. I let my mind take over after what happened and I was worried you would be mad that I slipped. I just I didn't want to see you disappointed in me so my head told me to run. I know it is not an excuse but the look on my mother's face after it happened had me wat too nervous to come home I'm so so sorry."
I take a breath before I speak to her again. " Elizabeth everyone knows how hard it is to switch diets and one slip up is not going change how I see you. hell not even a thousand slip ups will. you didn't hurt the girl and even if you did that would not change how I feel about you I hope you know that. just please why don't you and Laurent come home and we can talk more if you want. if not that is fine as well. I just really want you back ok please." I beg
"Yeah yeah ok I'll see if Laurent is ready to go back and we will make our way home ok. again i am so so so sorry I really missed you though." she says sounding a little sad
"I really miss you to just come back to me ok." I tell her
"Yeah alright I'll go get Laurent and we will head back. I'll talk to you soon ok and I love you Tanya." she says witch makes me smile
"I love you to see you soon." I say as I hang up the phone breathing out one more sigh of relief I look up at the rest of the family and smile.
"So the little runaways are finally coming back after their little getaway huh? about dang time." Kate says with a smile
Me and Irena roll our eyes at her as Carmen and Eleazar laugh.
(Elizabeth pov)
After I end the call with Tanya I wait for about another half an hour befor Laurent finally show up from his talk with Victoria.
"So did you call her? " he asks and I nod at him
"Yeah are you ready to go back? I think it is time." I ask
"Yeah but I need to make a small little detour first i owe Victoria one last favor and before you object I know how you feel about her but just one more and we are done I promise. " he says and I roll my eyes
" Fine fine but after this we are done and she is on her own deal. no more I mean it. we got mates to think of now alright." I tell him
He nods his head "this will be it I promise." he tells me and I sigh the gesture for him to lead the way to where ever it is we need to go after this it is straight back to Tanya and the rest of the coven
I follow him as he starts to run off in to the forest .
