ONCE STEVE HAD OPENED THE DOORS to the underground compartment, he took the flashlight back from Anastasia who was holding for them and shone it down so they could see the ground. Anastasia had remembered about a joke that Hopper had made about not going being the first one to go down a dark hallway or you would be the first to die, exactly like the horror movies they had watched, and she laughed to herself.
Dustin stared at her for a moment and then said, "He must be further down there." Once they saw that they couldn't see the creature, "I'll stay up here incase he tries to escape."
Steve stared up at Dustin with a bewildered expression, before sighing with a shake of his head. He looked over at Anastasia who pretended to look anywhere but at him, when he decided that he had to be the one to go down the dark staircase, he begun to walk down being cautious with every step he took.
A couple minutes had passed and the two teenager at the top of the stairs still hadn't heard anything as Anastasia said, "Steve?"
Dustin then following on, "Steve? What's going on down there?"
The quick flash of the flashlight made the two jump out of their skins as they regained their senses to see Steve standing at the bottom with a grin, "Get down here."
Anastasia walked down first with Dustin following behind, they stood close together as they shuffled down the tight space and soon she was stood to the left of Steve and Dustin standing on the right, she looked over at saw what seemed to be shed, slimy skin stuck on his baseball bat. She heard Dustin commented, "Oh, shit." and once Steve pointed over to a corner he exclaimed again, "Oh, shit!"
"This just keeps getting creepier." Anastasia remarked as she crouched down to look further inside the hole the Demogorgon had made.
They walked over to the corner where the creature Dustin had lost seemed to have dug it's way out of as Dustin continued to repeat the two words, "No way." Over and over again as Steve and Anastasia both looked down the large hole that the creature had made as it's escape plan.

ONCE THE MORNING SUN HAD RISEN and it was lighter outside, Anastasia, Steve and Dustin walked along the train tracks with buckets full of meat, throwing it down onto the tracks as they continued to walk down. Dustin's radio became static as another voice came through on the other end, Dustin walked away from the two to have some privacy as Steve hesitantly glanced over at Anastasia who caught onto his staring.
"What?" She asked, digging more equipment out of the trunk of his car.
He gaped at her for a second before he stuttered. "N-nothing. I was just wondering, are you like Eleven?"
