Her heart beat like a drum to the crackle of thunder, the man who her mind and body both desperately tried to evade being within her presence.

"Have you chosen to take me up on my offer?" Elijah asked, the only thing he was able to see was the raven locks that lie atop Maras head.

"You're following me." She said in a menacingly quiet tone, her jaw clenched as her teeth grind together.

"I assure you I'm not following you Mara, you're the one who brought me here." Elijah said, his brows furrowed together in confusion.

Mara read his mind and saw that he was telling the truth, but she couldn't have brought him there without knowing, and no one else could do it except for the other sins, and none of them were here.

Something wasn't right, and it put her on such an edge that she felt like she could fall over the end of the mountain of paranoia that she constantly hiked.

"You're lying." She said, slowly turning as one of her green eyes became visible, which was darkening into a deep shade of sable with every second.

Elijahs breath caught in his throat at the sight, she was powerful, he knew this already. However, the knowledge that she held greater power than him filled him with a sense of inferiority. One that he hadn't felt since the day he'd been turned into a vampire.

"Mara, I'm not here to cause you any harm, nor was I the one who brought myself here. You are the only one who I know has the ability to do such a thing. So unless there is someone other than yourself who possesses this power, you're the only one who could've brought me here." Elijah said cautiously, taking one step back as the woman continued to turn and walk towards him.

"You seem to misunderstand, I didn't do this, and nobody else can do what I do Elijah. Do not take me for someone of lesser intelligence who can be fooled by your empty promises. I know when I've done something, and I did not bring you here." She said now completely facing the man and taking a step toward him and the wind outside began to howl and the building shook.

Elijah looked around, the howling wind flowing in Maras hair making it whip around, his eyes returning to the woman in front of him who was stalking toward him.

Elijah raised a hand up in front of him cautiously, "What can I do to prove to you that what I say is the truth." He asked, his mind racking through possible ways for him to escape.

"The only way in which you could've proved yourself isn't working, clearly you're a greater threat than I originally perceived you to be, and if you've managed to fool me then I cannot allow you to live any longer." Mara said, black veins beginning to run down her arms.

Elijah sped forward to attack but was shot back and felt a stabbing pain in the middle of his chest as he was sent flying back into a wall.

Within the blink of an eye she was gone and he was left with an excruciating pain that was pulsing from the middle of his chest that was spreading across his body.

Klaus paced throughout the mikaelson home, Elijah hadn't arrived home in 9 hours and it was beginning to worry him.

Rebekah stood watching her brother, the reverberating of his shoes hitting the floor.

"He should've called by now, he's never out for this long." Klaus said stilling and turning to face Rebekah.

"I came back specifically for Elijah and he is already missing, how the bloody hell can you fail to keep track of your only ally in this house!" Rebekah yelled, her head cocking as a brunette walked in.

"Did it ever occur to you that Elijah was captured by the woman that you've all been chasing since she arrived here?" Hayley asked, raising a brow and looking between the two original vampires.

Klaus' jaw clenched and Rebekah took in a deep shaky breath, Klaus and Elijah had told her that this woman was apparently stronger than two originals. So the theory that she was able to overpower one wasn't entirely ludicrous.

"Rebekah, search every nook and cranny of New Orleans. I'll have some of my compelled little soldiers from Marcels army help.  Hayley, you stay here and do not leave." Klaus said turning to look at Hayley.

She simply glared at him, it obvious that she wanted to help search for him. Despite this, she didn't protest his demands.

Elijah coughed up black residue that steamed and seeped through the ground like acid, a hoarse cough escaping his throat.

His eyes were watery but he refused to cry, thinking only of his family and how they would come to save him.

Desperation consumed him as he felt the fear of death running through his veins for the first time in over 1000 years.

Klaus rushed through New Orleans like a man gone mad, his brother still nowhere to be found.

His anger was beginning to build up as he continued searching and searching aimlessly for his missing brother.

Klaus wasn't a patient man and this was testing him beyond belief.

He knew deep down that the cause of his brothers disappearance either had to do with Marcel, or Mara.

Neither of which would be good, no matter which of the two options was the actuality of the situation.

As he made his way into the shop he found a man standing close to a shelf littered with posters and music records.

Walking to stand next to him the man quickly sled Klaus a note which he took and placed in his coat pocket before walking away.

After he was a considerable distance away he opened up the note to find one word written across it.

Wrath.
