Wrath.

It was a term often used to define him in the past, references to the sins he'd committed.

What it had to do with Mara however, was a complete mystery to him, all he knew was that it was important somehow.

Maybe it was a reference to how she'd brutalized Marcel's men, or perhaps someone was just trying to play him.

Regardless of what the actuality of the situation was, Klaus knew that he couldn't stop until he found his brother.

The endless searching on him and Rebekah's part seemed to not be working, he believed that it could be defined as futile.

He walked the streets of New Orleans desperately hoping to find his missing brother, whom had yet to return.

As he did this only one thing remained on his mind the entire time, that one word, that infinite concept, wrath.

Hayley had deduced from the fact that Rebekah and Klaus had yet to return that Eljah was still missing.

She couldn't help but suspect that Mara was the one behind Elijah's disappearance but she had no way of proving this.

The only thing she could think about was how Mara had saved her that night, and if she was really as evil as everyone made her out to be.

Though she felt like obviously this should prove that Mara was the bad guy in this situation, she couldn't help but think that there was something more to this.

Sitting home alone made her feel weak but there's really nothing she could do about it, and that made her upset.

She never liked to feel weak, especially when it came to protecting people who had put in a lot of time to keep her safe.

However, she couldn't really come up with something to justify her going out, and so she stayed home.

Elijah coughed as steam emerged from his lungs, releasing from his mouth into the dusty air.

With every breath he took, a wheeze came out, which only stood to tell him that he wasn't going to make it out.

Mara had left long before, and so it's not like he could get her help, though he'd spent hours calling out for her.

He had talked to her, or at least tried to, but it was soon obvious that his attempts were futile.

She could still hear his cries of desperation even when as she walked the streets of New Orleans.

He still couldn't comprehend what was befalling him, he'd never been put in such a position before.

Never been so weak as to be overpowered by a random woman who's got a score to settle with small time vampires.

But it was clear to him now that she was more than that, the overwhelming power that she radiated made that obvious.

This revelation, struck fear through ever vein of his body.
