"Look who we got here?" Vic said as she walked down the stairs to be met by the blonde and the little four-year-old. The toddler held tightly to the firefighter's hand when she heard the voice of the woman
Ella had been living with the couple for almost three weeks, she was still getting comfortable but still, she liked her new home. In this three weeks, Ella had visited the station before, she liked it there but wasn't used to all the new people yet.
"Hi" Ella whispered as she placed herself closer to the blonde
"What's going on here?" Andy said appearing behind the woman smiling at the sight of the toddler
"We have a special guest" the woman said smiling, noticing as the girl waved to the newly arrived firefighter
"I see" Andy said walking closer to the toddler "Hello there" she said softly crouching in front of the girl "Hi to you too Mister" she said now towards the white bunny on the girl's arm, making the girl giggle
Suddenly the door opened revealing Jack, who was arguing with someone, followed by Carina, the person he was arguing with. Working together had its perks but it was also full of cons
"Can you give me a hand here?" Jack said towards the blonde who looked at them with a grin
"Leave me out of it" Maya quickly said shaking her head "Even so, you would not end up winning" she said
"'rina" Ella said letting go of Maya's hand, going towards the woman
"Hello bella" Carina said kneeling down to pick the girl up.
The girl hadn't seen the woman in all day. The brunette left the house early in the morning for work and she stayed with Maya. Now Maya had to work so she was going to stay with Carina... and Andrea of course
"'issed you" the girl said softly resting her head on the woman's shoulder.
She liked staying with Maya but for some reason everytime one of them was away from her, this strange feeling appeared. She felt a tightness on her chest and this unsettledness... like when she was scared
It was easy for the couple to identify the separation anxiety the kid was developing. It wasn't strange for the women, the toddler from one moment to the other, found herself without her mom and dad and without everything she knew. The girl was scared of how quickly the important people in her life could be gone.
"Missed you too bambina" the brunette said as she caressed the girl's back softly "Did you have a good morning?" she asked earning a little nod from the girl that had now, closed her eyes
The moment was suddenly interrumpted by a loud squeal comming from Andrea, who was being carried by Travis, making the girl flinch.
"Hey bud" Maya said walking towards Travis as she extended her arms to the boy "Come here" she said smiling when the boy started to wiggle on his uncle's arms "Are you a little firefighter today?" she asked noticing the boy's clothes
"I couldn't help it" Travis said earning a laugh from the women in the room "and look, he likes it" he said looking how the boy played with the long sleeves of his little bunker gear
"I'll go change" the blonde stated handing the boy to Jack who happily took him
"What do you think little man, are you ready for a boy's night?" he said towards the boy "We need a boy's night"
"Not on my watch" Carina said playfully towards Jack
"We are so having a boy's night"
