The Neighbor

Years have past. I was so innocent when I'm still a 6 year old kid and my parents told me a story where I thought it was just a rumor but I was shocked that it was true. Our neighbor is an Aswang.

When my father was about to cook our dinner way back 2001 (to be exact), he hears a soft growl something like a dog that found an enemy. My father ignored it. He just continue cooking but suddenly..

"Come on, Whitey (name of our native dog who always play under the dirty kitchen) shoo! shoo! Stop playing there.", my father said.

The growling sound disappeared. So, my father continued cooking. When I approached my father while cooking, I observed that there's a shadow in the left side of our dirty kitchen and I knew that it wasn't a dog or any kind of animal because it formed like a human who curved his body while crawling. It really creeps me out! Damn! I told my father that there is someone in the dirty kitchen. My father immediately run towards it to check it and to be sure that I am no wrong.

"Aaarg!", my father shouted.
I run towards my father and I'm really shocked to what I saw.
"Lola Basia?", shocked question of mine.

I am really really shocked!
My father and I saw that Lola Basia, our neighbor is an aswang - her eyes were red, saliva was dropping from her mouth and it seems that she doesn't know us.

At that moment, my father shoo her away and tell her not to come back again or else her secret (as an aswang) will be revealed.
