“find the one who murdered momoko and burn them in the fire of judgment” ann said
“witch hunt? sounds interesting” he walked up beside you “hey” you rolled your eyes, stepping away from him
“alright! lets search for the witch!”
“why weren't you with her today?” someone asked asahi “what?”
“why were you late? aren't you always with her?” niragi whistled “is she the witch?” he leaned down to her “its not me!”
“we’ll know once we throw you in the fire!”
“im not lying! i was in my room!”
“its decided, shes the witch! drag her to the fire” two militants instantly ran to grab asahi
usagi and mira ran out in front of them “let go of her” mira said “there are other suspects, where were you guys? what were you doing? can you prove it?” usagi said
“me and y/n were together, having a wonderful time, isn't that right?”
“i hope you get set on fire” “excu-”
“everyone will take turns reporting what they’ve been doing in the past hour” an sat up
“theres blood on her!” someone pointed at the bloodied handkerchief in her hand
“don’t get the wrong idea”
“this is getting interesting! is it her?”
“you’re wrong! this is hatter’s blood, i was checking his body, thats why i have blood on me, hatter was murdered”
“why would you hide this from us?”
“the executives believed this would throw everyone into a panic” ann said simply
“are you guys hiding more things from us?” a blonde guy said
ann chose to ignore him “this bullet was stuck in hatter’s body” she held up her hand with said bullet, the marks align with the firearms we have here”
“hah?” niragi said
“this means someone at the beach killed him”
“could it be that…the witch killed hatter? doesn’t that sound plausible given the timing? the witch must be among them-” the girl was stabbed from behind by last boss
“let’s just burn everybody we can” he said
“if someone among us is the witch, then everybody other than the militants is a witch. who is it? come forward, if nobody does…then i’ll everybody into the fire” aguni said
niragi lifted his gun in the air and shot at the roof, shouting (YAHOO!!)
everyone started running to avoid being shot, usagi ran and grabbed asahi and the group started running together. karube stopped to grab the last two phones from the desk
we ran into a hall with no one in it, usagi grabbed both me and asahi and pointed at the door next to us “both of you, hide here”
“what?!” asahi said
“we have to search for someone” usagi told her “im coming with you guys” i said “they’re my friends too”
“it’s not safe” shibuki said
“its game over or death for the both of us if we stay here” asahi said, before usagi responded, we heard footsteps from behind us. it was tatta and his friend
“we can help you! you guys helped me in a game before” gunshots were heard from the distance
“they are such idiots” karube said “killing people isn’t going to help us win the game”
“we have to hurry” shibuki said and took off, we all followed close behind
we started opening random doors along the way, checking to see if arisu or chota was in one, i knew they were in a room but i couldn’t remember what floor it was on
me, usagi and asahi ran into a room, me and usagi went into the bedroom and asahi checked the bathroom, asahi screamed when she opened the door
usagi ran to her and to see whats wrong, we saw a man with a gun in his hand in the bathtub
“do you know where arisu and chota are?” she asked
he slowly looked up to her “the main building”
we ended up at the fourth floor of the main building, there was smoke everywhere, we stopped when we heard what sounded like someone struggling to scream
we all went to separate doors to try and listen inside, usagi found the right one
the door was locked so she couldn’t get inside, the militants ran in our direction, shooting at us
i followed the two guys that were tailing usagi, before they could shoot at her when she jumped out the window, we hit them both
asahi walked in and helped us, tatta threw a chair at one guy and asahi smashed a vase on the other guy
usagi got the door unlocked and we all went inside the room, arisu and chota were sat on the bed, looking like hell
“we only have 30 minutes left in the game” karube gave the two the last phones “just explain the rules to us”
“this is seriously the worst rule ever” arisu sighed “but just like those taggers from the tag game, who were made to participate in the game with rules of their own, im sure its the same this time”
“the witch has to kill the girl at the start of the game and survive until the end of the time limit”
“in other words, the witch clears the game if everyone here gets a game over, or gets struck by the lasers”
“who could the witch be?” tatta seemed frustrated
“if i was the witch i’d join the others for hunting, since its game over if i die” usagi said
“so is it someone from the militants?”
“what do you think, y/n?” tatta asked me suddenly
i hesitant before speaking
“if i was the witch i’d kill myself, it would make the game more dilfcult for others, because no one would suspect that the witch was the one who’s dead, but im not sure if thats the true answer” i do know actually, but it might seem too suspicious
“you’re saying…momoka might’ve…” asahi trailed off
“we don’t know for sure” i said “it’s just how i would’ve done it”
“hearts game are to toy with people’s emotions, bring them to insanity, and make them look stupid” arisu said “it could be possible” arisu stood up
“i think…we know who the witch is”
