"Thirteen"
Thirteen moons have come and gone,
Since we said goodbye at dawn,
Our love was strong, or so we thought,
But it wasn't enough, or so we were taught.
Today marks thirteen months since we parted,
Our love story, now forever departed,
But I still remember our time together,
The love we shared, now just a memory to treasure.
Thirteen is a number of change and transition,
And that's what we've had, with every decision,
We went our separate ways, but not without pain,
Our love that once burned bright, now just a faded flame.
Here's to the thirteen months that have passed,
And to the love that didn't forever last,
I hope you're happy and living your best life,
Free from the pain and the strife.
Though we're no longer together,
I'll always cherish the love we shared, forever,
And though our love may have run its course,
I'm grateful for the time we spent, without remorse.
